With two of the worst lineups in baseball taking the field tonight - both sides rank in the bottom five in xwOBAcon and hard-hit rate - I'm not sure I see enough gap between these sides to ignore the plus-money value on Cleveland.

Robbie Ray (8-1, 2.55 ERA) deserves his flowers for posting a career year at age 33, ranking fifth in xERA (2.83) and sixth in swinging strike rate (13.8%), but let's not sleep on Slade Cecconi (1-3, 4.26 ERA) after the Guardians took a chance on the former first-rounder this offseason as a reclamation project of sorts. They are both a big reason as to why Dustin Saracini is riding this matchup as part of his best NRFI bets today.

It's taken some time for him to settle in, but he's coming off arguably his best start yet (5 IP, 1 ER, 8 Ks, 1 BB) and should be able to match wits with Ray before two of baseball's best bullpens square off. That's enough for me to take my chances with a winning $10 bet returning a $13.50 profit.

As mentioned earlier, this game profiles as a low-scoring affair even without household names on the mound. Ray has been lights out in his second season in San Francisco, and Cecconi appears to be turning a corner with a new organization.

The tepid lineups are the biggest selling point here. The Guardians have combined with their opponents to score 7 or fewer runs in nine of 13 games in June. The Giants are coming off back-to-back series against the loaded Dodgers and at Coors Field in Colorado; before that, 18 of their previous 21 games finished at or below this run total.
