One of the National League East's most thrilling rivalries will be renewed tonight when the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets meet for the first time this season. Our Mets vs. Braves prediction and odds highlight the latest betting lines and our best bets for the highly anticipated MLB contest.

First pitch from Truist Park in Atlanta is set for 7:15 p.m. ET (FanDuel Sports Network Southeast, MLB TV), with our best sports betting sites listing the hosts as slight moneyline favorites.

🆚 Who will win Mets vs. Braves?

This might be the most obvious bounceback spot in the history of baseball. Atlanta has been atrocious at home, with a 3-7 record over its last 10 at Truist Park. However, there's no bigger wake-up call than being blown out in your ballpark by the Colorado Rockies. If the Braves want to turn their season around, they must start to win now.

This may look like a WTF (wrong team favored) line to some, but we'll trust our best sports betting apps and cautiously pick Atlanta to win. The Braves are 18-13 straight up as a home favorite this season. They'll need a boost from Spencer Schwellenbach, though, who has tallied four consecutive quality starts.

✅ Moneyline pick: Braves will win (-134 via FanDuel)

Peterson has been stellar for New York this season. The 29-year-old has a 2.49 ERA through 13 starts, the best of his six-year career to date. He's allowed fewer than three runs in eight of his last 10 starts, a stretch that includes a complete game shutout against the Washington Nationals his last time out.

Atlanta's offense is nothing stellar - the Braves sit 20th in the league in runs scored per game (4.14). Those offensive woes are a big reason they're one of Major League Baseball's best Under teams, combining to score fewer runs than the projected total at a 56.9% clip on the year.

We're expecting a pitcher's duel to break out at Truist Park this evening between Peterson and Schwellenbach, with the former adding another quality start to his resume against a bitter division rival.
