We have our Mets vs. Orioles prediction after the second game of the three-game series between the two clubs was rained out yesterday. The series concludes with a doubleheader from Camden Yards today.

Juan Soto has faced Charlie Morton 19 times in his career dating back to Morton’s days with the Atlanta Braves. To say Soto has gotten the best of this head-to-head matchup is an understatement.

Soto is 8-for-12 with seven walks and three home runs in his career against Morton, which adds up to a ridiculous 2.206 OPS. Given this success, I would not put anyone off backing Soto’s home run odds, which are as high as +300 (carrying a 25% implied probability) at DraftKings.

It is tricky backing this total as part of our best Mets vs. Orioles predictions without knowing both starting pitchers, but for now we will assume the Mets are using a bullpen game with a depleted set of relievers by the conclusion of the first game of this doubleheader.
