Team USA had a somewhat shaky start to the 2023 WBC tournament with a lackluster 6-2 win over Great Britain and an 11-5 upset loss against Mexico in Game 2. Things turned around with a dominant 12-1 win over Canada.

The Americans have returned to their winning ways and destroyed Cuba in the semifinals to become significant favorites to win the title.
