Sometimes, a rematch is an opportunity to bet on a team to return to form. Other times, it's a chance to double down on what felt like a fitting result the first time.
To me, this clearly falls in the latter camp. I was high on Minnesota in my Lynx vs. Aces prediction for Wednesday's game, which saw the road team cruise to an 11-point victory as a 5.5-point underdog.
That marked the fourth straight victory for the Lynx, who have now beaten the Aces by double digits in each of their last two matchups.
Right team favored on Friday
The Aces may be back-to-back WNBA champions, but they've played like a middling squad this season and have now lost three of their last four games.
Conversely, the Lynx have looked like bona fide contenders with the league's second-best net rating (+8.5) and top defensive rating (94.1). They boast one of the most well-rounded lineups in basketball, which was on full display with five double-digit scorers in Wednesday's win.
That's the second time this season that Minnesota has featured five scorers in double figures against Las Vegas, which can't seem to unlock its championship-level defense from years past. Until it does, I don't see any reason to expect a different result on Friday.
Caesars isn't offering a point spread for this game at time of publish, but these -120 odds are the best on the market and would return $8.33 in profit on a $10 bet.

Will the real Courtney Williams please stand up? The Lynx guard dropped a season-high 22 points and 10 dimes in Wednesday's win, which came after she finished with just two assists the game before.
She's still averaging 5.5 helpers on the year and six per game over her last nine starts, clearing this total in five of them with exactly five assists in two others.
Most notably, she's finished with at least eight assists in all three games against Las Vegas, good for three of her five highest totals of the year. With this prop dealing at -148 via FanDuel, I love these -130 odds on another strong showing Friday.

A'ja Wilson Over 25.5 points ⭐⭐⭐
What happened to Wilson on Wednesday? The presumptive MVP scored just 15 points on 14 attempts - both her lowest in nearly two months - while failing to grab at least 10 rebounds for the first time in nine tries.
What's even more puzzling is that it came a few days after she dropped 34 points against the New York Liberty, whose defense is nearly identical to Minnesota's on a per-possession basis. She was averaging nearly 30 points in her last eight games before Wednesday and is still scoring 26.9 PPG on the season.
All of that signals value on this depressed total for Friday's rematch with the Lynx, who surrendered 28 and 29 points to Wilson in the first two meetings this season. I'm fully expecting a similar effort from the two-time MVP in a critical game for Las Vegas.
