Bahrain Grand Prix Predictions & Odds for Sunday: Expert F1 Picks, Bahrain GP Props, Odds

Max Verstappen enjoyed a stress-free race in Japan, easing to his first win of the F1 season after leading from start to finish. Nobody was able to overtake the four-time defending champion, setting the scene for an incredibly intriguing race weekend in Bahrain for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Lando Norris still remains ahead of Verstappen by one point in the drivers' standings. However, Oscar Piastri could threaten them both this weekend after taking the pole position in Bahrain, with Norris further back in sixth on the grid for Sunday's race, and Verstappen beside him in seventh.
Norris still remains the F1 Championship odds favorite across our best sports betting sites, but his teammate Piastri is ready to make his move.
Here are our Bahrain Grand Prix odds and predictions, with all picks made based on the odds before practice sessions started.

π Pick to win Bahrain Grand Prix: Oscar Piastri ββββ
π Best odds: +210 via Caesars | Implied probability: 32.26%

Excluding an inexperienced mistake at the Australian Grand Prix, Piastri has been every bit Norris' equal. He looked better than his counterpart in China and for large portions of the Japanese Grand Prix.
Piastri was on Norris' bumper throughout Sunday's race, with McLaren seriously considering having the Australian mount the primary challenge on Verstappen.
McLaren waited too long to pull the trigger on the change, preventing the faster driver, Piastri, from having the opportunity to overtake Norris. Entering Sunday's race in Bahrain on the back of a first and third-place finish, he appears a constant race-winner threat.
His +210 odds are as appealing as his control and proficiency over the last two races, and a winning bet at Caesars would profit $21 on a $10 winning wager.
π Best value bet to win Bahrain Grand Prix: Max Verstappen βββββ
π Best odds: +350 via bet365 | Implied probability: 22.22%
Locking in Verstappen at +333 is like getting away with highway robbery in the middle of the day. He won the Japanese Grand Prix without breaking a sweat, holding off both McLaren drivers relatively easily.
The one quasi-squeaky-bum moment saw Verstappen and Norris side by side after a slowish Red Bull pitstop. Norris went on to the grass, complaining - without much justification - that Verstappen forced him off the track.
Aside from that slightly hairy moment, Verstappen was in control throughout. The significance of the race cannot be overstated, as Verstappen proved his car can keep pace, even outpace, the MCL39, which was inarguably faster in the opening two races. The four-time defending champion should have his swagger back, especially going into a race he's the back-to-back defending champion of.
He's my pick to win the race, and I don't think you'll get better odds than at this early stage of the week. bet365 offers the best price of our top sports betting sites, where a winning $10 bet will profit $35.
π― Best long shot to win Bahrain Grand Prix: Kimi Antonelli ββ

π Best odds: +7000 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 1.41%
A dream start for Antonelli, the teenager became the youngest race leader in F1 history at the Japanese Grand Prix. At 18 years and 225 days, Antonelli broke the previous record, set by Verstappen at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix, by three days. That wasn't the end of Antonelli's Japanese Grand Prix accolades, as he also secured the fastest lap, the youngest driver to do so.
Mercedes couldn't be more elated with Antonelli's first three races. He finished fourth at the Australian Grand Prix and sixth in both races in Asia, which begs the question of whether he can join Verstappen as an 18-year-old race winner. While a true definition of a long-shot pick, it seems anything is possible for the Italian rookie. If you don't think so, look at his aforementioned track record.
While his odds are as short as +5000 (BetMGM), FanDuel offers the best price at +7000, where a $10 winning bet would profit $700.
