We gave out this bet as part of our Fever vs. Sun predictions, and it's since been bet up to a total of 34.5 at identical -115 odds. That pays out $8.70 on a $10 wager with an implied probability of 53.49%, per our odds converter, and is a full three points higher than the total of 31.5 offered at FanDuel.
That's a heck of a price for a total that Clark fell way short of in both of her two preseason games, even as she played legitimate minutes in each one.
Now she'll face a Sun team that ranked second in defensive rating in 2023 and has the size to frustrate the 6-foot guard in her debut.
Clark may someday go down as the WNBA's greatest of all time, but it'll take time for her to adjust to the physicality of the W. That's why I love this bet, which wraps up her inflated totals across the board into one large number to fade.

Even in the preseason, the No. 1 pick scored 21 points on 6-for-15 shooting in her debut - including 13 attempts from deep - before scoring just 12 points a few nights later in a Fever win.
If Indiana hopes to win tonight, it'll need Clark to operate more as a facilitator than a guns-blazing scorer. These -120 odds return a profit of only $8.33 on a $10 bet, which is why this is a three-star play, but I'd still bet this number at DraftKings with so many other books offering a points total of 20.5.

If you couldn't tell, I'm rather skeptical of Clark having a fruitful WNBA debut. But if you're looking for a way to bet affirmatively on the rookie star, this is my favorite way to do it.
As mentioned above, the Fever need Clark to spread the wealth to have a chance to beat the Sun, especially if she draws the level of defensive attention that she did in the preseason. That could open up easy opportunities for Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, and the other capable scorers on this Indiana roster.
