In a battle between two teams trending in the opposite direction, the Dallas Wings are set to host the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday night. Read on for our Dream vs. Wings prediction based on the best WNBA odds.

Are the best sports betting apps trying to pull a fast one on us?

Entering Tuesday, the Atlanta Dream (5-5) are riding a three-game win streak while the Dallas Wings (5-6) have dropped three in a row. And yet, the Wings are favored by a full possession at home.

So, is this too good to be true?

I guess I'm taking the bait because I bet Dream +3.5 (-105) at BetMGM when lines were first released Tuesday morning. It would be a five-star pick at that price, which is now down to a 2.5-point spread at that same shop. But the Dream are playable at +3 or better for a four-star play.

My numbers make this a toss-up game, and I would honestly give the edge to Atlanta based on recent form. The Dream are third in net rating during this win streak over the last week, according to WNBA.com. Only the league-leading Las Vegas Aces are averaging more points per game than the Dream, who are producing 92.7 points per contest over that span.

That's bad news for the Wings, who rank last in the league with a defensive rating of 116.8 during their three-game skid. The Minnesota Lynx and Phoenix Mercury are the only teams with a worse net rating than Dallas (-14.9) since June 12.

It isn't as if Atlanta's wins are easy, either. The Dream defeated both the New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun on the road during this run, which are two of the top-three teams in the W. Atlanta's 100-94 victory over the Indiana Fever in a potential letdown spot on Sunday illustrated how far this team has come since suffering a 85-78 loss to Dallas in the opener.

For context, the Wings were 2-point favorites with a total of 161 in Game 1.

Based on my projections, I see a lot of value in loading up on Atlanta in this spot. In addition to taking the Dream on the spread, I will be playing the Over on their team total of 83.5 at FanDuel. This should be a higher-scoring game based on the way these two teams are playing.

For the biggest payout, a moneyline wager of +145 at DraftKings also makes a lot of sense. Atlanta can absolutely keep its win streak alive against a reeling Dallas squad, in which there are no easy answers to fix.

As expected, the best sportsbooks moved the spread further in Atlanta's favor since we placed our bet Tuesday morning. FanDuel and PointsBet are the lone shops sitting at 3.5, with the former offering the best juice at -118. This line is playable at +3 or better.

As for my second play, FanDuel is the best place to bet on Atlanta's team total of 83.5 with the Over priced at a standard -110 vig. Caesars is offering +100 on Over 84.5 points, while BetMGM has a juice of -145 on Over 82.5 points.
