2025 F1 Championship odds

In the immediate aftermath of mentioning parity in our last update, Oscar Piastri throttled the rest of the field at the Bahrain Grand Prix, winning by almost 15.5 seconds.

That dominant win pole-vaulted him to the top of the F1 Championship odds leaderboard, leapfrogging teammate Lando Norris after the latter endured a messy third-place finish in Bahrain.

Piastri is the only driver receiving minus-money odds at our best F1 betting sites. Max Verstappen remains in third place after finishing sixth at the Bahrain International Circuit. Here are the F1 Championship odds as we look ahead to Sunday's race, which we covered in our Saudi Arabian predictions and odds.

Some notes and quick observations about the F1 championship odds for 2025:

  • Piastri's odds shortened from +270 to -105 after dominating the Bahrain Grand Prix
  • Norris' odds lengthened from -110 to +145 after finishing third in Bahrain
  • Verstappen's odds lengthened from +600 to +850 after his disappointing sixth-place finish in Bahrain
  • Only Verstappen, Norris, and Piastri are getting implied probabilities of 10% or more to win the driver's championship
  • Russell's odds shortened drastically, moving from +2600 to +1200 after another podium finish

🥇 F1 Championship odds favorite 2025

🏁 Oscar Piastri (-105)

F1 Championship Odds 2025: Norris Ahead of Piastri, Verstappen Entering Bahrain GP

Piastri's demonstrative win at the Bahrain Grand Prix reflected how the Australian has raced for most of the season. He's been outstanding, excluding a significant error in the Australian Grand Prix to kick off the season. The 24-year-old has outperformed teammate Norris and is the deserving F1 Championship odds leader.

However, he remains three points behind Norris despite his minus-money odds. It's a long season, so I'd wait before pulling the trigger on Piastri's -105 odds, which would profit just $9.52 on a winning $10 bet.

👀 My F1 championship odds driver to watch

🏎️ Charles Leclerc (+6600)

Leclerc has put together two straight solid races, finishing fourth in Japan and Bahrain. While Ferrari is starting to figure things out, Leclerc must start winning races soon before the front-runners' lead becomes unassailable. Leclerc is in fifth place in the driver standings and is already 45 points behind Norris.

The 27-year-old always hovered around the podium last year while ending up there 13 times, eight of which came during the latter portion of the season following the summer break.

bet365 currently offers outlier odds of +6600, which would profit $660 on a winning $10 bet.

💡 How to bet on F1 championship odds

The first and most important step is to sign up for one of our best sports betting apps, including FanDuel, DraftKings, bet365, Caesars, and BetMGM

The aforementioned sportsbooks offer various bets, odds, and opportunities, so shop around before you sign up. It's also a good idea to sign up for a couple of your favorites sportsbooks, as you can earn sign-up incentives while using them for the varying strengths.

Once you've signed up, navigate to the F1 page, often under "Motorsports." You can bet on individual races, who will win the Drivers' Championship, and which team will win the Constructors Championship. You can also dive into the props market, allowing you to bet on the fastest lap, podium finishes, top-three finishes, and more.

📖 How to read F1 championship odds

Reading F1 championship odds is simple once you know the basics.

Odds are typically presented in a format like +300 or -150. Positive odds (e.g., +300) indicate how much profit you'd make on a $100 bet. For instance, a $100 bet at +300 odds would win you $300, plus your initial $100 stake, totaling $400.

Negative odds (e.g., -150) show how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $150 bet at -150 odds would win you $100, plus your $150 stake, totaling $250.

Odds also reflect the probability of an outcome. Lower odds (e.g., +100) suggest a higher probability of the driver winning, while higher odds (e.g., +1000) indicate a lower probability. Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on factors like performance and betting patterns.

For example, if Driver A is getting +200 odds and Driver B is at +500 odds, Driver A is considered more likely to win. If you bet $100 on Driver A and they win, you'd get $300 back ($200 profit + $100 stake).

Reading and understanding these odds helps you make informed betting decisions.
