Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever enter Sunday's game after beating the Chicago Sky by a point. The Fever are 15-point underdogs across most of our best sports betting sites, facing a daunting road test against one of the two WNBA championship odds favorites, the New York Liberty.
The Fever are 2-8 and the New York Liberty are 6-2, with tipoff set at 7 p.m. ET (NBA TV) from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. It's the third time these teams have met this season, with the Liberty sweeping the first two contests by a combined 47 points.

Fever vs. Liberty predictions for Sunday
Liberty -14.5 ⭐⭐
I can't say I'm terribly inspired by the Liberty so far, which is why I dropped them to fourth in my WNBA power rankings entering this week. And yet, for the zillionth time, this feels like a brutal scheduling spot for the league's most-watched team on the other side.
The Fever are the first team to face two separate back-to-backs through the first three weeks of this season. Their last one started with a win over the Los Angeles Sparks and ended with a 19-point loss to the Las Vegas Aces, who hadn't won a game by double digits to that point.
That was the first of two losses by 15-plus points for Indiana over the last week, which doesn't include a 36-point loss against the Liberty earlier this season.
It wouldn't be beneath the Liberty to no-show this game, hence the two-star endorsement, but this is the side I'd be on for those betting the full-game spread. That's especially the case with these outlier odds from BetMGM, which tends to have some of the best sportsbook promos for first-time bettors.

Those who have been following along with our WNBA picks know I like fading the Fever in the first quarter, as well as teams with a rest disadvantage. Check, check.
Indiana won the first quarter on Saturday for just the second time in 10 games this season, and it still owns the worst net rating (-24.5) in the first 10 minutes. The Liberty have the best such net rating (+25.7), outscoring teams by 6.1 points on average in the opening period.
That's a nearly 50-point gap for every 100 possessions these teams play in the first quarter, which is hard to even wrap your head around. New York took the first quarter in both previous meetings by a combined 20 points, and it's won the opening period by 13 or more points in two straight games. I love its chances of getting out to another hot start Sunday.

Caitlin Clark player props for Sunday
Caitlin Clark to score 20+ points ⭐⭐⭐
We've been fading Clark's scoring props all season long, mostly to our benefit, but even I can't ignore these plus-money odds from FanDuel at this reasonable total.
Clark's points prop has been trading between 19.5 and 20.5 all season long, but it's dropped all the way to 17.5 after another low scoring output (11 points) on Saturday. Still, she scored 20 and 30 points in her previous two games, and she dropped 22 points on 9-of-17 shooting in her last game against the Liberty.
Now she'll face New York's defense for a third time this season, and it hasn't exactly been impervious along the perimeter through the first three weeks. This feels like an ideal spot for Clark to attack a familiar foe and force officials to acknowledge the extensive contact that is surely coming her way Sunday.

Caitlin Clark Under 2.5 threes ⭐⭐
This is often a nice prop to play on whichever side is dealing at plus-money, given the volatile nature of 3-point shooting. This time, that favors the Under.
That feels like the right side, anyway, given that Clark has fallen below this total in four of her last six games. Instead of forcing it from deep, I expect the rookie point guard to attack more downhill against a defense she's seen two times already.
It might feel counterintuitive to bet this and the scoring prop above, but I like leaning into the volatility of each bet with both dealing at plus-money odds. This one pays out $12 for every $10 bet with a 45.45% implied probability that it cashes for the sixth time in 11 games.
