Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (8-13) have lost three times by a combined 83 points to the New York Liberty (17-3). Those two meet again Saturday at 1 p.m. ET with the Liberty set as 8-point favorites to beat the Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, according to our best sports betting sites.

New York enters Saturday's matchup, which is televised on CBS, as the second-favorite by the latest WNBA championship odds having won 13 of its last 14 games. That's a key reason why we're backing the road favorites in our Liberty vs. Fever prediction based on the top WNBA odds.

Liberty vs. Fever predictions for Saturday

Liberty -8 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Let me first make something clear: this isn't the same Fever team that was pummeled by 36 points (twice) earlier this season. Clark seemed to have truly turned the corner as a playmaker, and Indiana has responded with five wins in its last eight games.

That said, New York is very much so the same team that has bulldozed its way through the first half of the regular season. And I don't see that changing Saturday.

As mentioned before, the Liberty are riding a 13-1 run with five straight wins entering this rematch. Four of those came by at least nine points, as last year's runners-up lead the league in net rating (plus-12.3) and average scoring margin (plus-9.5).

Conversely, the Fever still rank in the bottom three on both accounts, and their last six games against teams currently with a winning record all ended in double-digit losses - including that 104-68 loss in New York last month and an 88-69 loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday.

With three of our five best sportsbooks offering Liberty -8.5, I'm compelled by the more favorable line from FanDuel at even cheaper -108 odds, which would return $9.26 on a $10 bet according to our odds converter.
