Motivation is at an all-time high for this one, as both teams have something to gain from a win on Tuesday.
For the Liberty, one win in their next two games will secure the No. 1 overall seed in the WNBA playoffs, though a loss by the Minnesota Lynx in their next two games would also do the trick.
On the other side, the Mystics simply can't afford to mess around as they try to separate from the Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream - all of whom are tied with a 13-25 record entering the final week of the regular season.
Don't sleep on desperate Mystics
Earlier this season, Washington was the laughing stock of the WNBA after an 0-12 start that threatened the record books as one of the worst runs in league history.
That futility extended into August, but the Mystics have looked like a different team over the last month - winning seven of their last 10 games after splitting a weekend series with the Dream.
That loosely coincides with the return of two-way star Brittney Sykes, who missed all but three games before the Olympic break but has started every game since.
It would help if Shakira Austin (ankle) and Aaliyah Edwards (ankle) were available Tuesday, but this team is stll better than its full-season profile would suggest, and clearly something has clicked with a playoff spot firmly within reach.
Washington lost by just five points in two of these teams' first three meetings, and it led twice in the fourth quarter of the other loss. I fully expect this one to be close for 40 minutes, even if the Liberty likely prevail in the end.

Brittney Sykes Over 12.5 points (-104) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
As I mentioned earlier, Sykes' return to the court has provided a jolt on both ends for the Mystics. And it feels like our best sportsbooks are sleeping on her scoring potential.
The former top-seven pick scored just six points on Sunday, but she cleared this total in four straight games before that, including a 20-point effort in Friday's win over the Dream.
I'm intrigued by her +1300 odds at FanDuel to lead all scorers, which she did in that win in Atlanta, but this prop total is too low to ignore ahead of Tuesday.

Stefanie Dolson Over 4.5 rebounds (-140) ⭐⭐⭐
Speaking of overlooked players for the Mystics, Dolson's rebounding total is curiously low even after clearing this mark in 24 of 37 starts (64.9%) - a better hit rate than the 58.33% probability that these odds imply.
She combined for 14 rebounds in two games against the Dream and has pulled down five or more rebounds in 19 of her last 25 starts (76%), including two straight and six of her last nine.
With leading rebounder Shakira Austin out for the season, I like Dolson's chances to keep attacking the glass on Tuesday in a must-win spot.
She's dealing at -290 odds at FanDuel to grab four rebounds but a much more palatable -140 at bet365 to grab five, which would pay out a $7.14 profit on a $10 wager.
