Two of the top teams by the WNBA championship odds face off Wednesday at 9:30 p.m. ET (ESPN) when the Las Vegas Aces host the Minnesota Lynx at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Paradise, Nev.

The Aces are 5.5-point favorites to beat the Lynx across our best sports betting sites, though our Lynx vs. Aces prediction and expert picks favor the road team in a rematch of Minnesota's big win when they last met in June.

Take the points with Lynx vs. Aces

Lynx +5.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Much like the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, I'm waiting until the postseason before I truly judge whether the Aces are a championship-caliber squad this year.

It sure doesn't look like they are based on their effort in the regular season, though. They've lost two of their last three games after a midseason win streak and rank just fifth in net rating (+6.4) - well below the second-place Lynx (+8.2).

The last time these two met, Minnesota delivered a 14-point thumping in Las Vegas even with A'ja Wilson scoring 28 points for the hosts. That wasn't enough to overcome six double-digit scorers for the Lynx in a statement road win.

Minnesota deserves your attention

The Lynx stumbled a bit in July after winning the Commissioner's Cup in June, but they've bounced back with three straight wins entering Tuesday. That's more like it for the biggest surprise contender of this season.

Napheesa Collier is the only player besides Wilson to rank in the top five in scoring (20.3 PPG) and rebounding (10 RPG). Courtney Williams ranks eighth in assists (5.3 APG); Kayla McBride (2.9) and Bridget Carleton (2.2) are in the top 10 in made triples; and Alanna Smith ranks fourth leaguewide in blocks (1.7 BPG).

Minnesota has so many ways to win, which was on full display when these teams last met in June. And I'm expecting a similar outcome in Wednesday's rematch.

Best Lynx vs. Aces player props

Bridget Carleton Over 2.5 threes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's not very often that I offer a five-star endorsement for a player prop. But I'm genuinely shocked to see this wager dealing at such generous odds.

While Carleton averages "only" 2.2 makes per game, which ranks 10th in the league, that was dragged down by a slow start to the year. She's averaged 2.6 made threes in her last 18 starts - clearing this total in 12 of them and six of her last eight - and she hit a season-high five 3-pointers against the Aces back in June.

She only has to make three to cash this wager, which would pay out a ridiculous $14.20 on a $10 bet if she does.

Jackie Young Under 17.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Young was one of the most important players for Team USA in its quest for an eighth straight gold medal in Paris. But she hasn't had the same impact since returning stateside for the Aces - especially as a scorer.

The All-Star guard scored just four points in her first game back on Saturday, and she followed that with a 10-point effort on Sunday. She finished a combined 4-for-20 in those two games, though she still made her impact felt defensively.

I'd expect that to remain the focus for Young, who has fallen short of this mark in four straight starts and scored just six points when these teams met in June.
