Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever host Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as we offer our best Sky vs. Fever prediction and expert picks based on the best WNBA odds.

Two of the WNBA's best rookies square off this weekend at Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the Indiana Fever (1-8) host the Chicago Sky (3-3). The Sky are 3.5-point favorites to win Saturday's matchup, which tips off at noon ET on ESPN.

Indiana is looking for its second win of the season after a tumultuous early stretch against some of the league's best teams by the WNBA championship odds. However, the Fever must be encouraged by the steady progress made by Clark, who remains a long shot by the latest WNBA MVP odds.

She'll try to outduel fellow rookie Angel Reese, who's helped the Sky to some impressive wins thus far. Can Chicago score another road win against an Indiana squad struggling to find momentum?

To complement our Caitlin Clark odds and prop bets, here are our best Sky vs. Fever prediction and Caitlin Clark player props for Saturday (odds via our best sports betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Sky vs. Fever predictions for Saturday

Sky -3.5 ⭐⭐⭐

This is one of the tougher games all year to project, as the Sky have far exceeded expectations and are rewarded with what might be an inflated price as road favorites.

Still, it's hard to trust the Fever right now after Thursday's 15-point loss to the Seattle Storm (5-3), their fourth straight home defeat to open the year. Their only win of the season came against the Los Angeles Sparks (2-5) - who returned the favor on Tuesday - and they've been outscored by 14.3 points in their other eight contests.

Meanwhile, the Sky walloped the Sparks on Thursday and rank seventh in net rating (+1.8) despite facing one of the tougher schedules in the WNBA. There's a reason I had Chicago over Indiana in my latest WNBA power rankings, and it's hard not to like the Sky's chances of extending the Fever's misery on Saturday.

Sky to win 1st quarter + game ⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of my favorite ways to fade the Fever this year has been to bet against them in the first quarter. They've won the opening period just once in nine tries while getting outscored by a preposterous 28.6 points per 100 possessions in the first 10 minutes.

Conversely, the Sky boast the third-best net rating in the first quarter (+9.8), having won the period three times in six tries with a tie, as well. This is riskier than betting the first quarter spread of -1.5, but these +130 odds pay out $13 for every $10 wagered with a 43.48% implied probability, per our odds converter.

Caitlin Clark player props for Saturday

Caitlin Clark Under 26.5 points + assists ⭐⭐⭐

Much to the dismay of her most fervent supporters, we've made a killing this year fading Clark's scoring props, as she's exceeded 20 points just three times in nine starts even as our best sportsbooks keep dealing totals higher than that.

Once again, FanDuel is offering her points total at 20.5, but the Under is juiced to -125, which would require $12.50 to return a $10 profit. Her assists total (6.5) is also priced at -138 to the Under, requiring an even bigger stake to return a single Hamilton.

Instead, I prefer the value in combining those totals against the Sky, who rank fifth in defensive rating (97.2) and have allowed the fewest assists per game (17.7) in the first few weeks of the season. A $10 bet at these -112 odds nets $8.93 with a 52.83% implied probability.

Best odds: -112 via FanDuel

Caitlin Clark Under 2.5made 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐

This is another matchup-based play against Clark, but this one pays an even more attractive $14 profit for every $10 wagered.

Entering Friday, the Sky have allowed the fewest 3-point attempts (18.0) and second-fewest 3-pointers made (5.8) per game, holding opponents to 32.4% from beyond the arc. We saw that on display Thursday, when they held the Sparks to a miserable 4-for-21 from deep (19%) with nobody making more than two triples.

Only two players have converted three or more 3-pointers in a game against Chicago this season, while Clark has fallen below this mark in three of her last five starts. That's what makes these plus-money odds so compelling on a tricky number to clear.
