Wimbledon Best Bets 2023: Top Picks, Predictions for Men & Women

Following Novak Djokovic's and Iga Swiatek's victories in the French Open, the third major of the tennis season gets underway at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Read on for our Wimbledon best bets based on the odds from our best sports betting sites.
Djokovic made history in the previous major at Roland Garros, securing his 23rd Grand Slam title and breaking a tie with Rafael Nadal for the most of any men's player of all time. Djokovic is now halfway to the calendar Grand Slam and can make further history in this tournament, as a win would be his eighth Wimbledon title, tying him with Roger Federer for the most ever on the men's side.
Since Serena Williams went back-to-back at Wimbledon in 2015 and 2016, five different women have captured their first Wimbledon titles. And over the previous three iterations of the tournament, six different women have reached the final.
Here are our Wimbledon best bets (odds via BetMGM, PointsBet, DraftKings, and FanDuel; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wimbledon pick: Men’s winner
Novak Djokovic (-150 via BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
With Djokovic the last of the "Big Three" currently healthy and playing at a high level, he seems destined to distance himself and set records that may never be broken.
Few will be keen on backing Djokovic at such steep pre-tournament odds. Still, he did cash tickets for bettors at -135 and -120 odds before his last two Wimbledon wins in 2021 and 2022, and it is hard to argue the case for any men's player other than the four-time defending champion and the man who has won six of the previous eight Wimbledons.
Djokovic has repeatedly proved that beating him at a major in a five-set format is a different animal. He has not lost a fifth set at a major since the 2019 French Open (to Dominic Thiem). His excellent fitness, even at 36 years old, was on full display when he beat pre-tournament favorite and 20-year-old Carlos Alcaraz in four sets at Roland Garros after cramps hampered the youngster in the fourth set.
Djokovic has more Wimbledon match wins than the rest of the top 20 combined, per Eurosport. Thus, his -150 odds at BetMGM are entirely justified and provide slightly better value than odds as high as -175 at Caesars, based on our Wimbledon 2023 odds.
Wimbledon pick: Women’s winner
Aryna Sabalenka (+600 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐
Aryna Sabalenka is back at Wimbledon after all Russian and Belarusian players were banned last year following the invasion of Ukraine. While she will have to deflect all the media's political questions after each match, it does not serve as much distraction as many make it out to be.
Sabalenka, at one point, ran off 13 consecutive wins earlier this year and won a title in Madrid to go with her maiden Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open this year. She is 4-1 head-to-head against Elena Rybakina, who may not even make it out of her quarter as many have labeled her group as the "quarter of death," and she is one of four women with +600 odds or shorter to reach the semifinals out of her region. Sabalenka also owns three wins against world No. 1 Iga Swiatek and has matched her with three singles titles this season. If those two were to meet in the final, we would expect Sabalenka's powerful serve and heavy groundstrokes to carry her through.
DraftKings is the only other major sportsbook offering +600 odds for Sabalenka to win outright, as she is more commonly trading at +550 or as low as +500 at Caesars.
Wimbledon pick: Men’s Quarter 2 winner
Cameron Norrie (+850 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐
Besides Andy Murray, no men's player this week will garner more crowd support than Brit Cameron Norrie. Norrie's last three Wimbledon results have improved each year, culminating with last year's semifinal run. Murray and Stefanos Tsitsipas are two of four players with better odds of reaching the semifinals this year than Norrie, but those two are headed for a second-round clash.
Our biggest worry is Daniil Medvedev, who has won a tour-leading five titles and is the favorite at +275 odds. But after bowing out in the first round at Roland Garros, his grass-court results have been less than encouraging, becoming Adrian Mannarino's second top-10 victim on grass courts in his career (the loss was in the first round) and losing in the quarterfinals at Halle to Roberto Bautista Agut.
Thus, with no dominant player like Djokovic or Alcaraz in this quarter, the +850 odds of Norrie reaching the semifinals are enticing. Those odds are still excellent value despite being able to back Norrie at +5000 at FanDuel to reach the final, given that Norrie would likely have a gargantuan task ahead of him in the semifinals with Alcaraz likely waiting.
DraftKings is our go-to shop, as BetMGM offers +800 for Norrie to reach the semifinals.
Wimbledon pick: Women’s Quarter 2 winner
Donna Vekic (+450 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐
Quarter 2 is the most wide-open of all the quarters on the women's side, as its favorite is the only one of all four quarters with higher than +190 odds. But those +450 odds to back Vekic seem like a steal with Veronika Kudermetova (+390) retiring from her previous tournament with a left hip injury, Jessica Pegula (+600) not making it past the quarterfinals in any of her last five tournaments, and Caroline Garcia (+750) dealing with a shoulder injury.
Vekic is arguably the biggest server and most consistent from the baseline in this entire quarter, and we are willing to look past her 6-8 career Wimbledon record, as she looked impressive in wins over Rybakina and Maria Sakkari en route to her runner-up finish in Berlin last week. Her +450 odds at FanDuel (the same odds can be found at BetMGM) look like a steal compared to the +330 at DraftKings, the only shop where she is the favorite (not the second-favorite) to win the quarter.
