After a slow start to the season, the Las Vegas Aces (12-7) looked like they were all in and ready to win another championship, but maybe they were bluffing.

The Aces had their six-game winning streak snapped by the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday and will need to bounce back on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN) against the Dallas Wings (5-16) from Michelob Ultra Arena.

Luckily, Dallas is the worst team in the league and Vegas should be capable of playing like the top team by the WNBA championship odds as 14.5-point favorites, which is why we're backing them in our Wings vs. Aces prediction based on the top WNBA odds.

Wings vs. Aces predictions for Sunday

Aces -14.5 ⭐⭐⭐

It's been a bizarre season for the Aces. After winning back-to-back championships, Las Vegas has already lost more games this season (7) than all of last season (6). Still, the Aces remain the favorites to three-peat for a reason with A'ja Wilson proving once again she's the best player in the league.

Obviously, winning by 15 or more is a big ask, but the Wings have been atrocious this season. Dallas won three of its first five games then proceeded to lose 11 in a row and 14 of its last 16. Both Maddy Siegrist (finger) and Satou Sabally (shoulder) remain out for the Wings too, and Arike Ogunbowale can't carry the team on her own.

Dallas is second-last in the WNBA in defensive rating (110.9) and likely won't have an answer for Wilson down low. She's averaging a ridiculous 26.9 PPG and 10.9 RPG. To make matters even tougher on this Dallas defense, both Kelsey Plum (18.9 PPG) and Jackie Young (18.7) should be able to expose the Wings' perimeter defense.

With Dallas just 7-14 ATS this season, and injury-riddled, I don't suspect they'll be able to handle a Vegas squad that'll be playing angry after losing to L.A. A $10 winning bet on the Aces covering pays a $9.26 profit.

Over 171.5 ⭐⭐⭐

For as bad as Dallas is, the Wings can put up points thanks to Ogunbowale being one of the best scorers in the WNBA. She's putting up the second-most PPG (23.6) behind just Wilson and has the Wings sitting sixth in points per game (80.8).

When Dallas plays a high-scoring team like Vegas, it's the perfect time to bet the Over because the Wings can score, they just can't play defense - they allow the most PPG in the league (88.5). It'll be especially hard to defend against the Aces, too. Becky Hammon's squad is first in the W in PPG (88.6) and second in offensive rating (109.3).

Wilson is going to create all kinds of problems, with Dallas giving up the most two-pointers per game (24.9). But like I said, both Plum and Young should be able to do a ton of damage. They're combining to hit 5.4 threes per game and Dallas will likely be focused on Wilson, opening up looks behind the arc.

As long as Ogunbowale and Natasha Howard do their part, the Wings should score enough for this Over to hit. If it does, a $10 bet pays a $9.09 profit.
