For as much as the Liberty have struggled as of late - they're 3-6 since starting the season 9-0 - New York is in far better shape than the Aces. Las Vegas hasn't recovered since losing the season opener by 14 to New York, and the addition of Jewell Loyd after shipping Kelsey Plum to the Los Angeles Sparks has yet to pay off. While Wilson remains one of the best players in the league, Vegas' defensive issues should be exposed by the Liberty at home. Although New York hasn't been the defending champion heavyweight that many expected, the offense hasn't been the issue. The Liberty lead the league in points per game (86.7), rank second in offensive rating (109), and sit top three in made 3-pointers per game (10.1), made free throws per game (17.1), and 2-point percentage (52.6%).

Stewart and Ionescu remain the top scoring duo in the W this season, combing for 38.7 points per game, and will be able to pressure a lagging Aces defense. Vegas is bottom five in both defensive rating (104.6) and field-goal percentage allowed (44.4%), and has given up 90-plus points six times already this season.

However, Wilson and Co. could stay in this game by exposing New York's recent defensive issues. The Liberty have slipped from No. 1 in points allowed to No. 6 in recent weeks, which includes giving up 78 or more points in each of their last nine - they've allowed 88.1 points per game during that stretch. With Wilson (1.6) and Jackie Young (1.4) both ranking top 20 in offensive win shares, the Aces have the talent to keep taking advantage of New York's defensive problems.

At 30 years old, Stewart might not be a perennial MVP anymore, but she's still one of the most consistent forces in the WNBA. She's fourth in points per game (19.8) and one of just five players averaging 17-plus points and six-plus rebounds per night.
