Fever vs. Lynx Prediction, Odds & WNBA Best Bet Tonight: Commissioner's Cup Final

We're expecting Indiana to keep it close tonight even with Caitlin Clark unable to suit up.

The Minnesota Lynx (14-2) seek more hardware and prize money tonight when they host the Indiana Fever (8-8) in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final at 8 p.m. ET (Prime Video) at Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Lynx are 10.5-point betting favorites to become the first back-to-back winner after claiming last year’s Cup over the New York Liberty. Our Fever vs. Lynx prediction expects Indiana to push Minnesota in the only game of the night - one that could have implications on the WNBA championship odds.

🚫 Is Caitlin Clark playing tonight?

Caitlin Clark is out tonight after missing the last two games for the Fever with a groin injury. Head coach Stephanie White said Clark would be a "game-time decision" to play in the Commissioner's Cup final, but she wasn't seen at the team's morning shootaround and was ruled out shortly thereafter.

After winning it all last year, Minnesota has the highest fourth-quarter net rating (+14) in the league this season. It’s difficult to bet against the Lynx when the stakes are highest - at least when it comes to winning the game outright.

With Clark officially ruled out for the Commissioner’s Cup final, I’ll take an inflated spread in a game that could be more competitive than expected. The spread has moved six points in favor of Minnesota since opening.

Clark’s absence will certainly hurt Indiana’s chance of earning a signature win, but I expect this game to be decided by single digits. The Fever are coming off a 94-86 victory over the Dallas Wings, and they've hit that scoring mark now in two of their last three games.

Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston (more on her in a minute) have played well of late. Indiana has enough firepower to keep this one within 10 or less.

👀 Star player prop to watch

⬆️ Aliyah Boston Over 15.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

📊 Best odds: -110 via Caesars ($10 to win $9.09)

With Clark ruled out, I like the Over on Boston’s scoring prop as an alternate way of believing the Fever can push the Lynx.

Boston, who was named an All-Star starter on Monday, has cleared this mark in four of her previous five games, playing at least 30 minutes in each contest. She scored 21 points in the Fever's last game without Clark, and she needs to step up in this spot for Indiana to have a chance to win.

We're also catching a solid price for an encore at these -110 odds via Caesars - the rest of the market is at -115 or shorter after the Clark news.
