The Indiana Fever will try to get back on track without Caitlin Clark tonight as they take on the Dallas Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET (ION) from College Park Center in Arlington, Texas. Despite Indiana's WNBA championship odds being far better than Dallas', our Fever vs. Wings prediction is backing Paige Bueckers to help her team pull off the upset.

Head coach Steph White told Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star that Clark reported groin pain Wednesday and received an MRI. The team hasn't shared the results of the MRI, but the reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year will miss tonight's game after missing Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Sparks. Clark is listed as day-to-day with a left groin injury.

The Fever looked lost in the fourth quarter of Thursday's loss to the Sparks, who outscored Indiana by a 35-17 margin over the final 10 minutes. Part of that is Clark being out, and part of that is Indiana really only having seven players it can trust right now.

A lack of depth on top of being down an MVP candidate is really hurting the Fever, and the Wings have enough offensive talent to take advantage and win.

Dallas has been playing its best basketball of the season over the last 10 days with a 3-1 record, and that lone loss came in overtime. Look for Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale to keep the Ws coming in the W tonight, as I have the Wings flying to an 86-82 victory.

Although Dallas has a losing record, its offense has had some bright moments. It ranks seventh in the league in offensive rating (103.8) and second in made 2-pointers per game (23) behind the play of Bueckers and Ogunbowale, who are both putting up over 17 points per game.

Thanks to Bueckers and Ogunbowale, the Wings have scored 80-plus points in five of their last six games and should be able to push an Indiana defense that ranks in the back half of the league in efficiency rating (101.7), field-goal percentage allowed (42.9%), and 2-pointers allowed (21.9). However, the Wings' defense remains a big issue.

Dallas is allowing the fourth-most points per game (85.1) and sits 10th in defensive rating (108.6). So even without Clark, Indiana can hang points with players like Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell. Boston, in particular, has been a star this season, sitting second in the league in offensive win shares (2.2) and offensive rating (126.9). A big night for her is one of the keys to this Over hitting.

Bueckers is coming off her quietest game since returning from injury, but she's poised for a big night tonight against a defense that isn't built to stop her. Bueckers does the bulk of her scoring inside the arc, and Indiana allows the second-highest 2-point percentage in the league (51.3%).

Bueckers has the ninth-most offensive win shares in the W (1.2), and the UConn product has gone for 18-plus points four times in six games since returning from injury - she's averaging 20.6 points per game over that stretch.
