The Minnesota Lynx (20-4) will start the second half of their revenge season when they host the Chicago Sky (7-15) on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET at Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Lynx remain the No. 2 favorite in the latest WNBA championship odds after losing last year’s WNBA Finals. They have the best record in the league and haven’t lost an official home game all year.

Minnesota’s unblemished home record might not be in any real danger as a 14-point favorite against Chicago. Still, our Sky vs. Lynx odds and prediction suggest siding with the visitors (and points) for better value.

Minnesota is the only team in the league not to lose a home game, as the loss in the Commissioner’s Cup final didn’t officially count. I don’t see that streak ending on Tuesday against the lowly Sky - though I do expect this game to be closer than the best sports betting sites project it to be.

From a value perspective, it makes more sense to take the points with the Sky or bet the Over. It seems less likely that Minnesota would cover a huge spread and the game finish Under the closing total.

I prefer backing the Over, so I don’t need a late basket by the Sky to cover the spread. These two teams faced off last Monday, with Minnesota earning a 91-78 win to surpass the closing total of 161.5.

I don’t understand why the total hasn’t climbed for the rematch, especially since Chicago ranks 12th out of 13 teams in defensive rating. For context, Minnesota is second in offensive rating. The Lynx should have no problem scoring after a week off to help us cash our Sky vs. Lynx best bet.
