Although Liberty haven't been nearly as dominant as of late, and are still without Jonquel Jones, this team is clearly the second-best in the W after the Minnesota Lynx. New York is second in the league in net rating (plus-9.8) and have the second-best average point differential in the league (plus-7.8). So while the Storm have been impressive with Skylar Diggins leading the way, Seattle just doesn't have the offense to keep up. I have the Liberty taking this game 85-79.

New York's offense has been an unstoppable force for much of the season. The Liberty rank No. 1 in points per game (87.6) and offensive rating (110), and have two game-changing weapons in Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu to lean on. Thanks to the All-Star duo, and guard Natasha Cloud, New York is second in the league in 3-pointers (10.1) and first in 2-point percentage (53.9%).

That ability to win inside and outside should put plenty of pressure on this Storm defense. Seattle is in the back half of the league in field-goal percentage allowed (44.2%), 3-point percentage allowed (33.3%), and 2-pointers allowed per game (21.8). And it won't be an easy time for Seattle to penetrate New York's defense.

The Liberty are third in the league in defensive rating (100.2) and holding opponents to the third-worst field-goal percentage in the league (41.4%). New York has held opponents to fewer than 80 points in 10 of 17 games already this season.

Ionescu has been playing at an MVP level this season, ranking top 15 in offensive win shares (1.4), PER (21.7), and usage rate (28.2%). She should get plenty of looks from behind the arc today against the Storm's shaky perimeter defense.
