Coming off an upset of Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, the Las Vegas Aces look to build on that momentum tonight at 10 p.m. ET (NBA TV) when they host the Connecticut Sun at Michelob Ultra Arena in Paradise, Nev.

Though Vegas has slipped down the WNBA championship odds, our Sun vs. Aces prediction expects them to crush a struggling Connecticut squad behind the play of A'ja Wilson.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a Sun vs. Aces prediction for tonight that's confidently backing Connecticut's moneyline.

Rachid Meziane's team is last in the league in both offensive rating (93.9) and defensive rating (114.6) and hasn't won since June 6. Meanwhile, Las Vegas looked like its old self on Sunday while taking down the Fever. I'm calling for the Aces winning 88-68.

Covering an 18.5-point spread is difficult regardless of the opponent. Still, Connecticut has already suffered a 25-point loss earlier this season, and the team is 0-1 against the spread when its opponent is an 18-plus-point favorite. So while it's hard to be ultra confident betting a team that's nearly a 20-point favorite, this is the best ATS bet to make for a Sun vs. Aces prediction tonight.

The Sun are also down second-leading scorer Marina Mabrey (15.2 PPG), and she was the only player aside from Tina Charles putting up more than 8.5 points per game. The team's offense is borderline non-existent while sitting last in points (71.8) and field-goal percentage (39.6%), and second-last in 3-pointers (6.1) and assists (16.9).

Connecticut's offense is so incompetent that it almost makes the defense seem good by comparison for only allowing the second-most points per game in the W (87.6). But Wilson, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray, and Jewell Loyd should run it up against the Sun after dropping 89 on the Fever.

While Wilson isn't quite playing at an MVP level this season, she remains second in the league in points per game (21.1) and rebounds per game (9.8), with the third-highest usage rate in the WNBA (31.3%). She combined for 32 points and rebounds across just 29 minutes against the Sun earlier this season.

The key to Wilson hitting this Over will be her rebounding, as Connecticut ranks last in the league in rebounds per game (30.6) and allows the most per outing (37.8). That's why I think this Over, which I'd take with odds as short as -135, is the best bet of my Sun vs. Aces prediction.
