Golden State earned an 11-point win as an 11-point underdog the last time these two teams played. That's just what the Valkyries seem to do. As they boast the WNBA's best record against the spread (11-7). Meanwhile, the Fever are just 2-6 ATS as a 5-plus point favorite this season, including 1-3 with Clark in the lineup.

The Valkyries want to slow the game down. They boast the league's third-lowest pace rating (77.1), and the team strives to play feisty and physical defense. Golden State is allowing the second-fewest points per game (78.2), and it's produced the third-best defensive rating (100.7) while allowing the lowest field-goal percentage in the W (39.9%).

This isn't an easy opponent for Clark to return against, with Kayla Thornton (1.1) and Veronic Burton (0.8) both sitting top 20 in the league in defensive win shares. While Indiana should ultimately win with Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Aari McDonald, and Clark being too much to completely shut down, Golden State can make this an ugly game and cover.

The odds for Clark to hit the Over on her assists at our best sportsbooks are far longer than usual. Part of that is due to her time off, but the other factor is the addition of McDonald, who filled in admirably as the team's lead guard while the star was hurt.

While I don't expect McDonald's minutes to fall off a cliff, I struggle to envision Fever head coach Steph White fully taking the rock away from one of the league's best passers. Clark is second in the league in assists per game (8.9) and assist rate (45.1%). She's gone for Over 8.5 assists in seven of her nine contests this season.
