Can Luka Doncic lead the shorthanded Dallas Mavericks to a victory over Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls? We are examining the NBA player props and odds for several players while utilizing the best NBA odds from our top NBA betting sites.

We have 13 games on the NBA schedule this Wednesday, and there is no shortage of big names to consider for the NBA player props. To keep things simple, I'm going to take a deeper dive into the elite players because that's who everyone wants to bet on anyway. If you're looking for a Dillon Brooks prop, head over to my NBA best bets article for Wednesday.

LeBron James might be 38 years old, but he is the all-time leading scorer in the NBA, so he gets the nod during this jam-packed slate. Moreover, it's the Battle of Los Angeles on Wednesday, so you have to include James just for that reason alone!

To complement today's NBA best bets, here's a look at the most notable NBA player prop odds for Wednesday's marquee players, along with my top NBA player prop picks.

NBA player props, odds for Wednesday

Nikola Jokic (Nuggets at Timberwolves)

I'm excited for this matchup on Wednesday, as it is a rematch from their first-round encounter in last year's NBA playoffs, which the Denver Nuggets won in five games. However, the Timberwolves didn't make it easy on them. With two seven-footers on the inside, Rudy Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Timberwolves were able to somewhat contain Jokic in the series, at least much better than other teams fared.

Regarding a player prop for Jokic, I'm looking at the Over for his rebounding prop. Jokic will be guarding Gobert, allowing him to stay closer to the rim and not find himself out on the three-point line when a rebounding opportunity presents itself.

Jokic is projected to grab 12.2 rebounds on Wednesday, and based on this projection, we have an edge over the -105 price point available at BetMGM.

Pick: Nikola Jokic Over 11.5 rebounds vs. Timberwolves (-105 via BetMGM) ⭐

Luka Doncic (Bulls at Mavericks)

The Dallas Mavericks will be without Kyrie Irving on Wednesday against the Bulls, causing Doncic's points prop to rise from 32.5 to 34.5. It might not seem like a significant adjustment, but the initial 32.5 already factored in the possibility of Irving missing the game. On opening night, when both Doncic and Irving were playing, Doncic's points prop was set at 28.5. Therefore, it's a six-point increase with Irving officially ruled out.

Doncic is an elite scorer, but 34.5 is a massive number, even for someone as talented as he. Several Mavericks players should be capable of generating offense against the Bulls' defense, so they shouldn't have to rely as heavily on Doncic. For that reason, I like the Under in this spot.

Pick: Luka Doncic Under 34.5 points vs. Bulls (-115 via bet365) ⭐⭐

LeBron James (Clippers at Lakers)

James has been struggling to go over his points prop early in the season. On opening night, he was trading with a total of 24.5 points. However, you can see that against the Clippers on Wednesday, it has now dropped to 21.5 points. This is the new normal for James.

James' assists and rebounds prop is trading exactly in the range where there isn't much you can do with it, so I would focus on his points prop. James is projected to score 23.4 points against the Clippers, and he always has a knack for stepping up his game in the Battle of Los Angeles.

Pick: LeBron James Over 21.5 points vs. Clippers (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐
