We're targeting a handful of player combos across Wednesday’s six-game slate with our top NBA player props and best bets based on the best NBA odds.

After a strong start to the week with our NBA player props, we went 1-3 on Tuesday to fall to a .500 record thus far. We remain undeterred heading into a six-game slate on Wednesday with plenty of value across the board.

First, Toronto Raptors budding star Scottie Barnes gets an advantageous matchup at home against the Dallas Mavericks. Then we look to Rudy Gobert, as the Minnesota Timberwolves host the Memphis Grizzlies in a matchup that bodes well for the clear Defensive Player of the Year odds favorite.

Meanwhile, the NBA’s triple-double leaders face off in Colorado as the Sacramento Kings visit the Denver Nuggets. Finally, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Los Angeles Clippers in a hometown rivalry with no love lost.

Here are our NBA player props and best bets for Wednesday (NBA picks based on odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wednesday’s NBA player props

Scottie Barnes Over 35.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Mavericks (-118 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Barnes is fresh off a triple-double in his last game,  going for 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists against the Indiana Pacers. Over his last seven outings, he’s averaged 37.5 PRA and gone for at least 36 in three of them. Barnes has averaged 36.2 PRA at home compared to just 32.5 on the road, and he’s posted at least 36 PRA in 22 games on the season overall.

Dallas has been a favorable matchup for opponents, as the Mavs allow the second-most points, 10th-most rebounds, and 10th-most assists this season.

Barnes posted 14 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists in his prior matchup with Dallas back in November, and we’re taking the Over on Wednesday at FanDuel. This prop would look even more favorable if Jakob Poeltl (ankle) is forced to sit out.

Rudy Gobert Over 14.5 rebounds vs. Grizzlies (+115 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Gobert has posted nine straight double-doubles and averaged 14.4 rebounds in that span. Across those nine games, he’s pulled down at least 15 rebounds five times, including each of his last two. He’s got 19 games with at least 15 boards this season, and we’re betting that he adds another one on Wednesday.

This matchup is a great one for rebounders, as the Grizzlies have allowed the third-most rebounds to opponents at 54.3. In three games against Memphis this season, Gobert hit this mark once when he grabbed 20 boards in a December matchup. He’s averaging 13 rebounds at home compared to 12.4 on the road.

Domantas Sabonis triple-double vs. Nuggets (+150 via DraftKings)  ⭐⭐⭐

The NBA’s triple-double leader faces off against last season’s triple-double leader in a matchup between arguably two of the best passing centers of all time.

Domantas Sabonis has averaged 20.5 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 10.7 assists across his last 12 games, posting a triple-double in nine of them, including each of his last three.

He’s got 21 triple-doubles on the season, and with Sunday’s 20th, he joined Russell Westbrook, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, James Harden, and Nikola Jokic as the only players in NBA history with at least 20 in a single season.

Sabonis is averaging 18 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists across three matchups with Denver this season, posting one triple-double. We’re betting that he will secure another one on Wednesday.

Nikola Jokic triple-double vs. Kings (+120 via bet365)  ⭐⭐⭐

With 123 triple-doubles to his credit, Jokic has the fourth-most all time. It’s taken him only 652 games to get there, and he’s posted a triple-double in 18.8% of his career games. That’s the best mark of all time.

Sabonis’ recent 12-game stretch has been uber-productive, but Jokic’s has been stellar, as well. In that span, he’s averaged 25.9 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 9.8 assists with five triple-doubles. Like Sabonis, Jokic comes into this one with three straight.

In three matchups with Sacramento this season, he’s averaging 24.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 9.7 assists with one triple-double.

Though Sabonis leads Jokic 21-18 in this season’s triple-double leaderboard, Jokic holds a 47-35 advantage over the last two seasons combined. Over the last three seasons, Jokic and Sabonis lead the league in triple-doubles, and on Wednesday, we love the odds that they’ll both extend their streaks in this marquee matchup.

LeBron James Over 38.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Clippers (-108 via FanDuel)  ⭐⭐⭐

James has played well against the Clippers since going to the Lakers, and he’s averaged 42 PRA against them in 16 matchups. He’s posted at least 39 PRA in 11 of them (including each of his two matchups against them this season), and we’ll take the Over once again.

LeBron has hit this mark in two straight out of the All-Star break, and he’s done it in four of his last five overall.

James is questionable Wednesday due to an ankle injury, but this isn’t a new ailment. He’s played through the injury recently, and we’re guessing he will do so again.

The Lakers kick off a back-to-back set with Wednesday's matchup against the Clippers, but Thursday’s second leg is against the lowly Washington Wizards. The Lakers need to be at full strength for this one, so if James is going to sit out one of these two matchups, it will be against the Wizards.
