We're analyzing our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Wednesday, based on the best NBA odds.

We've arrived at the week's midpoint, and the NBA offers plenty of entertainment with a substantial 10-game slate on Wednesday.

The Miami Heat will host the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Tyler Herro will need to elevate his performance for his undermanned team.

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid will again be absent for the Philadelphia 76ers, allowing Jalen Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks an opportunity to exploit Philly in the paint.

In the nightcap, RJ Barrett and the revamped Toronto Raptors carry on their road trip with a game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Collin Sexton aims to maintain his productivity at home as the Utah Jazz welcome the Denver Nuggets.

To accompany our Pelicans vs. Warriors player props, here are our NBA player props and best bets for Wednesday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Wednesday’s NBA player props

Tyler Herro Over 24.5 points vs. Thunder (+110 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After more than a month on the shelf, Herro roared back on Dec. 18, and he’s played great basketball over the last three weeks. In 10 games since returning, he’s scored at least 25 points six times and topped 20 points eight times. Jimmy Butler is out yet again, and both Kyle Lowry and Caleb Martin are doubtful. That means Herro should have the ball in his hands a ton against Oklahoma City.

Herro has averaged 24.6 points per game at home compared to 21.1 on the road this season, and he’s scored at least 25 in three of his last four in South Beach.

Oklahoma City has been middle-of-the-pack in scoring defense overall, but only Atlanta has surrendered more than the 130 points per contest the Thunder have surrendered over their last three.

Herro’s prop is set at 23.5 across our best sports betting apps for odds ranging from -113 to -128, but if we sell just a single point, we can get plus-money odds at FanDuel.

Jalen Johnson double-double vs. 76ers (+145 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Thanks to big minutes and an increased opportunity, Johnson is enjoying a breakout Year 3. The big man is averaging 15 points and 8.2 boards across 30.9 minutes per game. He sat from Nov. 26 through Dec. 23 but posted strong performances in six games since returning to the court.

Johnson has averaged 17 points and 10.5 boards across his last six, posting three double-doubles in that span. On the season, Johnson has six double-doubles, and he’s in a great position to secure his seventh against the shorthanded 76ers.

Joel Embiid is Philly’s defensive anchor and rim protector, but with him out of action, Johnson should be able to feast in the paint. No team has given up more rebounds over its last three games than Philadelphia, so we’ll take plus-money odds that he’ll post another double-double.

RJ Barrett Over 25.5 points + rebounds + assists vs. Clippers (-105 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Barrett’s tenure in Toronto has gotten off on a great foot. In five games since joining the Raptors, he’s averaged 21.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists across 32.2 minutes per contest. The Raps are 3-2 with a one-point loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and a five-point loss to the Sacramento Kings. Toronto has been competitive thanks in large part to the contributions of Barrett, who’s topped 26 PRA in three of those five, including each of the last two.

The Clippers sport a strong defense, particularly at home, but the books have not yet caught up to Barrett’s strong play, and this line is too low. Toronto is playing its fifth straight on the road and the second of a back-to-back set at Crypto.com Arena, but the 23-year-old Barrett should play heavy minutes for a team with a short rotation and multiple veterans who may see their workloads reduced due to the quick turnaround.

Toronto has scored at least 130 points in three straight, and Barrett will be leaned on heavily as a scorer Wednesday.

Collin Sexton Over 17.5 points vs. Jazz (-110 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is another line that feels far too low, even against the Nuggets’ competent defense. Sexton joined Utah’s starting five in mid-December, and over his last 15 games in that role, he’s averaged 21.2 points on better than 50% shooting. Sexton has scored 18 or more points in 12 of those games, and he’ll add to that total tonight against Denver.

Sexton has averaged 16.7 points per game at home compared to 15.5 on the road, and he’s scored at least 18 in seven of 16 games at Delta Center.

The Nuggets have allowed just over 110 points per game this season (third-fewest), but over the last three, the team has given up 121 per tilt (11th-most). Sexton is an offensive focal point for the Jazz, and he should have no problem reaching this scoring milestone on Wednesday.
