NBA Player Props & Best Bets Today: Schedule, Picks for Friday
We're analyzing our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Friday, based on the best NBA odds.
We had only one bet in our NBA best bets article on Thursday because of such a small slate of games. While it looks like we should have bet on Giannis Antetokounmpo to score 50-plus points and Trae Young to score 40-plus points as well, Paolo Banchero came through for us when he failed to go Over the betting line of 21.5 points.
Friday will be a much different story in the NBA, as we have nine games on the schedule, and all of the games will count toward the NBA's In-Season Tournament.
Maybe the new courts for the NBA In-Season Tournament distracted our best sportsbooks, but I think they forgot to adjust the lines properly for one player who is seeing an expanded role.

Friday’s NBA player props
Kawhi Leonard Over 3.5 assists vs. Mavericks (+145 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This bet might require a bit more convincing from me because we just placed this exact bet on Wednesday, and Kawhi Leonard stole a unit from our account. The outcome wasn't what we wanted, but my thoughts and opinions about this number are stronger on Friday following the loss.
Leonard had nine potential assists on Wednesday, which converted into two actual assists. Even with James Harden in the lineup, the opportunities were there for Leonard to go Over this number; his teammates just didn't make the shots.
In the Clippers' first two games with Harden on the team, against the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets, they failed to score more than 100 points. On the other hand, Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks have stated they are comfortable playing in the 120s. The Clippers' team total is sitting at 117.5 for their game against the Mavericks, so the style of the game should also help boost Leonard's opportunities for assists.
Leonard is projected to drop 3.9 dimes on Friday against the Mavericks, allowing us to price the Over 3.5 assists at -117, but it is trading at +145 on DraftKings. This is an alternate line, and I recommend you take this number instead of the 2.5 in the -165 range because it almost doubles your expected value.

Keyonte George Over 8.5 points vs. Grizzlies (+102 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Utah Jazz have a new starting point guard, and based on this line from FanDuel, I don't think oddsmakers got the memo. When George was still trying to carve out a role on this Jazz team as a rookie coming off the bench just a few games ago, George was trading with a points total of 7.5. But now, head coach Will Hardy has named George the starter, and the adjustment is just to 8.5 at plus money – sign me up.
George can score the basketball; he showed it in his time at Baylor and during the Las Vegas Summer League, where he averaged 24.9 points per game. After his debut as the starting point guard against the Indiana Pacers, Hardy also made comments about how George passed up five or six shots he thought he should've taken and would like to see him call his own number more.
George is projected to score 10.1 points on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies, which means we can price George at -145 to go Over the total of 8.5 points, but it is available at FanDuel at +102. Based on this projection, this bet is showing a positive expected value of 20%.

Jalen Williams Over 3.5 assists vs. Kings (+135 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The NBA In-Season Tournament is taking place on Friday, and while I don't think this angle can be applied to every player or team, I do believe it pertains to the Thunder and Williams. The Thunder are one of the few teams already 0-1 in the NBA In-Season Tournament, having lost to the Golden State Warriors by two points last Friday.
The Thunder strike me as a team that would want to advance and win this tournament. The fact that they are already in a 0-1 hole should create a sense of urgency, not only to win but to win convincingly. They are definitely facing a tiebreaker situation when it comes to advancing, so point differential should be important to them.
I bring this up because I think it means you will see slightly elevated minutes for Williams on Friday because they need to stay on the gas to advance. We're already seeing an edge in the numbers for Williams' assists prop, but I think this angle also provides this bet with another boost.
Williams is projected to have 3.7 assists against the Kings on Friday, which means we can price the Over 3.5 assists at +100. To maximize your edge, make sure you grab this prop at bet365. They are by far offering the best price on Williams; you can see that if you shop around. BetRivers is trading this number at +104, which would only provide you with the slightest of edges. Picking off that +135 is a major key here.
