The Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers meet Wednesday to highlight a 12-game slate, and we're fading one of the Bucks' stars in our our NBA player props and best bets for Wednesday based on the best NBA odds.

After a relatively slow start to 2024, nearly every NBA team will be in action on Wednesday for a 12-game slate that should offer plenty of drama from the opening tip to the final horn. That includes a clash between Eastern Conference foes who have already shared some bad blood this season.

If you like drama, there was plenty of it on Dec. 13 when Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 64 points in a win over the Indiana Pacers, who subsequently commandeered the game ball - much to the chagrin of the two-time MVP winner.

Those two met again in Milwaukee on Jan. 1, where Indiana got revenge with a 122-113 victory. The Pacers now lead the season series, 3-1, but can they notch another victory over the Bucks at home this Wednesday?

Khris Middleton Under 6.5 assists (-120 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

While this game features the highest total on the slate at 257.5, I do think that presents an opportunity to bet the Under on some inflated lines. In particular, the assist prop of Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton seems a touch high as of Wednesday morning.

Middleton dished out six dimes against the Pacers last time out, and recorded double-digit assists in the previous two games before that matchup. But Middleton has been extremely efficient on his assist opportunities, recording eight potential assists against Indiana on Jan. 1 and averaging 12 potential assists over the last three games, per the tracking data at NBA.com.

For the season, Middleton is third on the team with an average of 7.2 potential assists per game and has produced an average of 4.8 dimes per contest on those opportunities. While he's questionable for this game, we project closer to 5.5 assists if he does play in this high-scoring affair.

That projection gives us a decent edge on anything -120 or better for Under 6.5 assists, which is currently only available at DraftKings. The rest of our best sports betting apps charge -140 or more for the same Under.

Kyle Lowry Over 1.5 turnovers (+130 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler ruled out for Wednesday's road meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers, point guard Kyle Lowry will continue to shoulder more offensive responsibility. That hasn't quite been a positive thing, at least from a turnovers perspective.

Lowry has committed multiple turnovers in six of his eight games without Butler during 2023-24, averaging 2.4 turnovers per contest during that span. He coughed up three turnovers in the same arena against the Los Angeles Clippers just two days ago.

We're getting a plus-money price on this Over across all of our best sports betting sites, but bet365 is offering the best bargain. This is playable at +120 or better, as we're expecting an inspired defensive effort from the Lakers now while back at home after playing a ton of road games in December.

Los Angeles is roughly middle of the pack in defensive turnover rate during 2023, but a locked-in LeBron James and Anthony Davis' length could cause problems whenever Lowry initiates a ball screen.
