Basketball fans get a potential NBA Finals preview between the Cleveland Cavaliers (34-5) and Oklahoma City Thunder (33-7) for the second time in eight days when the teams clash again on Thursday.
The Cavs made a statement in the first head-to-head meeting, securing a 129-122 win as 3-point home favorites on Jan. 8. But the Thunder are 1.5-point home favorites in the rematch after winning their previous three games by double-digits.
Tipoff from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (TNT).

The NBA MVP odds front-runner should have a strong performance in one of his biggest matchups of the year. Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 31 points and four assists in his first outing against Cleveland.
However, SGA had a path to more assists, as he recorded 10 potential assists in that game. He leads the team with 12.3 potential assists per game this season, leading to an average of six per contest.

Another assist angle I like in this game is backing Mobley to finish with at least three dimes. The Cleveland big man is averaging 2.9 assists per contest after recording seven against the Thunder in their previous meeting.
And that’s because of the matchup.
The Thunder prefer to send help defenders to opposing big men in hopes of forcing a turnover. When facing a double team, Mobley must find the open man.

Mitchell was held to 11 points on 3-of-16 shooting in the first meeting. While he’s unlikely to have that poor of a shooting performance again, the Thunder know how to make life difficult on opposing stars.
Oklahoma City has the No. 1 defense in the league for a reason. That could lead to another underwhelming outing by Mitchell, who has averaged 19.8 points per game this month. He’s only cleared this scoring prop once in his past five outings.
