The No. 4 seed Denver Nuggets will look to hold off the No. 5 seed Los Angeles Clippers in Game 1 of their Western Conference series today. Tipoff from Ball Arena in Denver is at 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN).

Jokic averaged a triple-double in the regular season, but the only prop where I’m confident he’ll hit his Over is total points. Jokic hasn’t played against the Clippers since Dec. 13, and in that game, he managed just 16 points. However, in his other two meetings with the Clippers, he scored at least 28, and he dropped 41 on them at the beginning of the year.

Jokic has only topped his averages in assists and rebounds once against the Clippers, and even when he scored 41 points, he only managed to combine for 54 points in all three categories in that game. Therefore, there’s no reason to get fancy with a combo prop. The price could be better, but Jokic averaged over 30 points per game over the last two months of the season, so risking a little more is understandable.

🔥 Ivica Zubac Under 16.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Zubac ended the regular season averaging 19.9 points in March and April. This was significantly higher than the 16.8 points he ended up averaging for the entire regular season. He hasn’t played the Nuggets since Jan. 8, so it’s hard to know if his recent solid play will translate to success against them, but if his previous performances are any indicator, the answer is no.

Zubac dropped 24 in his first game against the Nuggets, but that game was played on Oct. 26. Since then, he’s failed to score more than 13 against them, combining for 29 points in three games. The Nuggets are allowing the sixth-most points per game in the paint, which is where Zubac does most of his damage. But if he couldn’t decipher this defense in three of the four regular-season games, it’s unlikely he can today.

🔥 James Harden Under 9.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Harden finished the regular season ranked fifth in assists per game, averaging 8.7 per contest. He’s also entering the postseason on fire, as he’s dished out at least 10 assists in five consecutive games. However, Harden and the Clippers’ offense haven’t had much success against the Nuggets.

Harden’s first game against Denver was massive, as he dished out 16 assists. In his second game, he recorded 11. However, in the two games since, he’s combined for just 10. Los Angeles has scored more than 109 points against Denver just once this season, so Harden is likely to have fewer opportunities to record assists in this game. The price could be a little better, but look for Harden to cool off after nearly a whole week of rest.
