๐Ÿ”ฅ Ausar Thompson Over 9.5 points โญโญโญโญ

Thompson struggled in Game 2, picking up just five points on 28.6% shooting from the field. It was an uncharacteristic off night for the 22-year-old, who averaged 10.1 points per game this season. He had scored 10-plus points in 10 of his last 11 contests before Game 2, with his only other poor outing coming against the Knicks.

But given his resiliency, we're playing Thompson's Over in Game 3 at four stars of confidence. The second-year small forward has failed to put up double digits just once in back-to-back games when playing 20-plus minutes this season. Thompson averages 10 points per game at home this campaign, so we're banking on that trend continuing.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Karl-Anthony Towns Under 1.5 made 3-pointers โญโญโญโญ

Tom Thibodeau and his staff must get Towns more involved in Game 3. He logged just 10 points in Game 2, matching his lowest scoring output since the All-Star break. The veteran big man will undoubtedly perform better in Game 3, but his 21.5-point total is too high to take a flier on his Over.

As such, we're taking the Under on his made 3-pointers prop. Towns has hit two-plus shots from beyond the arc in just two of his last 12 outings, even though Detroit boasts one of the league's worst 3-point defenses. He's only gone Over in two of five games against the Pistons, so we're confident Towns will continue to struggle.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Tobias Harris Over 6.5 rebounds โญโญโญ

One of the most significant adjustments from J.B. Bickerstaff and Co. between Game 1 to Game 2 was on the glass. The Pistons went from plus-1 to plus-14 on the Knicks, increasing their rebounding output from 37 to 48. There was a greater emphasis on the defensive boards, with multiple players reaping the benefits.

Harris, who continues to be one of the league's most underappreciated contributors, was chief among those who benefited from that emphasis on rebounds. He more than doubled his rebounding numbers, jumping from six in Game 1 to 13 in Game 2.

We don't expect him to consistently grab double-digit boards, but a continued improvement should be anticipated. Harris clocked in at 5.9 rebounds per game this season, but he's crashed the glass at a higher rate (6.8 RPG) in four appearances against New York. Detroit should continue to play physical at home, which will benefit Harris.
