There will be no love lost tonight as the Los Angeles Lakers visit the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets knocked the Lakers out of the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and the fierce Western Conference rivals are sure to bring the fireworks in the second head-to-head matchup this year.

Jokic is in the midst of another NBA MVP odds campaign, as he’s averaged 29.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 10.2 assists this season. He’s posted 53.5 PRAs at home compared to 51.8 on the road.

Jokic posted a monster 29/17/9 line in Thursday’s win over Charlotte, and he should be able to keep the momentum going Saturday against the Lakers’ depleted frontcourt. With Anthony Davis gone and Mark Williams back in Charlotte, the Lakers’ frontcourt of Jaxson Hayes and Alex Len is ill-equipped to slow down Joker.

Denver’s big man has hit the mark on this combo prop in 34 of 50 games this season. He’s done it in three straight and eight of nine heading into tonight’s primetime matchup, and we fully expect him to extend his streak.

Doncic has scored 16 or fewer points in all three games he’s played with the Lakers thus far, and we’re not betting on an offensive breakout any time soon. He and LeBron James are still figuring out how to share scoring and playmaking responsibilities, and Doncic is not yet at 100%.

Despite the lack of scoring, Doncic hasn’t lost his ability to rebound and get teammates involved. He’s averaged 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists across his three games with LA, including 11 rebounds and eight assists Wednesday against Charlotte.

The matchup with the Hornets was the first time Doncic played at least 30 minutes with his new team, and the results were instant. He’s averaged a healthy nine rebounds and 7.2 assists per 36 minutes with the Lakers, and we can count on 30+ minutes again as he continues to get healthier.

Don’t look now, but Murray is the Nuggets’ leading scorer over the last four games, averaging a whopping 34 points. In that span, he’s posted three games with 30 or more points, including a career-best 55-point eruption against the Trail Blazers in the final game before the All-Star break.

Murray picked up right where he left off after the break, dropping 34 in Thursday’s victory over Charlotte. Despite a slow start, he’s averaging a career-high 21.3 points per game this season.

The Lakers have allowed 23.7 points per game to opposing point guards in 2024-25 but, over the last seven, LA has surrendered 25. Murray averaged 24 points across eight matchups (regular and postseason) with the Lakers last season, and we expect another strong scoring performance tonight.
