Led by MVP favorite Joel Embiid, the Philadelphia 76ers (54-28) have their sights set on a deep postseason run. It might be a requirement after this franchise was bounced before the conference finals in five straight seasons.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are aware that Spencer Dinwiddie and Kyle Kuzma have been beefing on social media this past week. It has been quite entertaining to follow while we wait for the NBA Playoffs to begin.

But Dinwiddie can actually back his talk up on the court this weekend, and we expect him to do just that in the form of assists. With a projection of roughly 9.5 assists, we see immense value in taking the Over on Dinwiddie’s conservative assist prop line of 8.5 with our Nets vs. 76ers predictions.

For one, Dinwiddie has crushed this prop with five double-digit assist performances in his last six games. Over that span, the Brooklyn point guard is averaging 11.8 assists per contest. Dinwiddie finished with 30 points and six dimes in the only game he didn't clear this mark during that stretch, illustrating his high usage rating.

Since being traded from the Dallas Mavericks, Dinwiddie has averaged 9.1 assists per game in 26 games with the Nets while posting his highest usage rating (22.5) since the 2019-20 campaign. And that’s including what was probably a bit of an adjustment period when he joined a new team.

Dinwiddie has dished out nine-plus assists in 13 of his previous 19 contests, dating back to March 1, averaging 10.2 dimes per game over that span.
