LeBron tends to feel a series out in Game 1, which leads to more assists. He's played nine playoff series since joining the Lakers, clearing this assist mark in seven openers, averaging nearly nine assists per outing in Game 1.

While this will be James’ first Game 1 with Luka Doncic, I think it will increase his chances of deferring on Saturday. Since Luka’s debut, James ranks second on the team in passes made per game (54.3), trailing only Austin Reaves (55.6).

Conventional wisdom says the Lakers will lean into their small-ball lineup against a big Wolves team. But I have my doubts, especially in Game 1. Los Angeles needs a lob threat to counter Minnesota’s hedges on Doncic, James, or Reaves.

Enter Hayes, who has played more against teams that use hedge defensive schemes or drops instead of switching. He’s benefited from a talented trio of playmakers, scoring six-plus points in four of his past five games entering this weekend.

🔥 Donte DiVincenzo Over 1.5 made 3-pointers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m willing to pay the steep vig on DiVincenzo knocking down multiple 3-pointers as the final leg of this parlay. To be honest, this is an angle worth attacking throughout the series.

Mike Conley will be hunted on the defensive end, so I expect Minnesota to play him less as the series continues. If that happens, DiVincenzo’s shooting becomes even more critical. Fortunately for the Wolves, he’s connected on multiple 3-pointers in five straight games.
