Timberwolves vs. Nuggets Player Props & Odds: Today's NBA Playoff Prop Bets
The Denver Nuggets host the Minnesota Timberwolves for Saturday's Game 1 in the second round, and we're offering our best Timberwolves vs. Nuggets player props based on the best NBA odds.
After these two faced off in the 2023 postseason, the Minnesota Timberwolves (56-26) and Denver Nuggets (57-25) are set to do battle once again in the second round of these 2024 NBA playoffs. Game 1 tips off tonight at 7 p.m. ET on TNT from Ball Arena in Denver.
The Nuggets are 4.5-point favorites to beat the Timberwolves in Game 1 across our best sports betting sites after dispatching the Los Angeles Lakers in five games in the first round. They remain the favorites in the West by the latest NBA championship odds, though the T-Wolves hope to send them packing after sweeping the Phoenix Suns in Round 1.
Here are our best Timberwolves vs. Nuggets player props and NBA picks for Game 1 (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Timberwolves vs. Nuggets prop bet predictions for Saturday
Jamal Murray Under 24.5 points ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Murray has built his reputation on top-tier playoff performances, with his two game-winners during the 2024 first round against the Los Angeles Lakers bolstering that status. That's why this scoring total is more than three points higher than his regular-season average (21.2).
Yet he's quietly struggled this postseason, scoring 22 or fewer points in four of five games while shooting 40% from the field and 29.4% from deep. He's also battling a calf injury that nearly sidelined him for Game 5 before scoring 32 points on a whopping 28 shot attempts.
I'd be surprised if he enjoys that level of volume in Game 1, especially if Murray draws rising star Jaden McDaniels, who helped to shut down Devin Booker and Kevin Durant in Round 1. This is one of my favorite bets of the postseason, and it would pay $19.09 on a $10 wager, according to our odds converter.
Best odds: -110 via DraftKings
Anthony Edwards Over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Suns clearly didn't have an answer for Edwards, who averaged 31 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists during a four-game sweep. And I'm not sure Denver does, either.
Edwards was unstoppable offensively in the opening round, scoring 33-plus points in three of four games while grabbing at least nine boards in three contests, too. Like Phoenix, the Nuggets lacks a true perimeter "stopper" for Edwards, who averaged 31.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists during the 2023 series against Denver.
This wager is only 12 ticks higher than his consensus scoring prop (27.5), even after Edwards combined for at least 13 rebounds and assists in all four games during Round 1. That number would likely be higher, too, if Edwards hadn't played fewer than 40 minutes per game in a series with three blowout wins.
While you can buy a lower number at a steeper price, I like this total at -102 odds, which carry a 50.50% implied probability, and it comes with a $19.80 payout on a $10 wager. What should be an inflated total on the NBA's hottest star remains a relative bargain.
Best odds: -102 via FanDuel
Nikola Jokic Under 9.5 assists ⭐⭐⭐
If Murray isn't the prolific No. 2 option that he usually is come playoff time, that'll put the onus on Jokic to take over as a scorer. That seems to be the preferred game plan from Minnesota to limit the damage from the NBA MVP odds favorite.
Jokic averaged 33.3 points against the Timberwolves' top-ranked defense during the regular season, including 41 points in the last meeting on April 10. He also tallied a mere 4.3 assists per game and finished with seven or fewer in all four matchups. Rudy Gobert and Co. relied on their size to body the star center and limit easy passing lanes to the perimeter.
You'll need to pay extra to bet the Under at these -135 odds, which carry a 57.45% implied probability and a $17.41 payout on a $10 bet. There's a reason our best sportsbooks are pricing it so aggressively, and it's hard not to side with the market in this particular matchup.
Best odds: -135 via bet365
