The No. 4 seed Arizona Wildcats (23-12) and No. 5 seed Oregon Ducks (25-9) square off for a right to play in the Sweet 16, with tonight's tipoff at 9:40 p.m. ET from Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle (TBS).

The Ducks are the 3.5-point betting underdogs, and we like them to cover in our Arizona vs. Oregon prediction, odds, and preview, which expects Nate Bittle to stretch the Wildcats' defense.

✅ Oregon to cover the spread: +4 ⭐⭐⭐

Arizona dominated the two head-to-head regular-season meetings last year, beating Oregon 87-78 and 103-83. But Altman showed his ability to adjust, conjuring a masterful game plan in a 67-59 win in last year’s Pac-12 Tournament semifinals.

The Ducks have much more size this season with 7-foot Nate Bittle healthy (he was limited to six games last season) to compete with Arizona’s frontcourt.

Oregon’s only loss since Feb. 8 is to Michigan State, and the Ducks should be well rested for this matchup, with no player playing more than 27 minutes in Friday’s rout of Liberty.

As of this writing, bet365 is the only shop where one can back the Ducks at +4, as the rest of our best sportsbooks are a half-point lower at +3.5.

🔥 Nate Bittle Over 1.5 3-pointers made ⭐⭐

This wager is a value play, as +140 odds are much too low for a player who has made at least one 3-pointer in four consecutive games and eight of the last nine.

Bittle should be guarded by Arizona’s 7-foot center Henri Veesaar. Dana Altman typically likes to pull Bittle away from the basket when guarded by a player that size to open up driving lanes for point guard Jackson Shelstad.

If Kansas’ Hunter Dickinson, who shot less than 28% from beyond the arc, can make multiple 3-pointers against the Wildcats, so can Bittle, who ranks in the top 20 in Big Ten play in percentage of his team’s shots taken.

📊 Best odds: +140 via bet365 ($10 to win $14)

🎯 Score prediction: Arizona 76, Oregon 75

Given that Arizona has been a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament in each of Tommy Lloyd’s first three seasons at the helm but never made it past the Sweet 16, that has to be viewed as somewhat of a disappointment.

I won’t go as far as to say Oregon will pull the outright upset, but it is 6-1 ATS at neutral sites this year. That is why I am predicting a Ducks cover with a final score of Arizona 76, Oregon 75.

🤖 Arizona vs. Oregon AI prediction

For entertainment purposes, we asked ChatGPT to analyze historical trends and live NCAA Tournament stats before predicting the winner and exact score for Arizona vs. Oregon. Our AI prediction projects a final score of Arizona 78, Oregon 70.

🖥️ AI score prediction: Arizona 78, Oregon 70

  • With a high-scoring attack, Arizona is built to outpace Oregon. Expect its transition game and size advantage to overwhelm Oregon’s defense.
  • Oregon’s defense, while strong, may struggle to contain Arizona’s fast pace and interior dominance. Its best chance is to slow the game down and hit timely threes.
  • Arizona’s rebounding edge will limit Oregon’s second-chance opportunities and give the Wildcats more chances to score off the glass.

🤔 Betting takeaway: ChatGPT's AI prediction would mean Arizona covering the spread (-4.5) and a total of Under 152.5 points. ChatGPT is not a dedicated sports betting model, but it can identify data that March Madness bettors might overlook.
