Our Duke vs. Arizona prediction should help to set the stage for the marquee college basketball matchup of the night.

No. 12 Duke (3-1) will travel to face No. 17 Arizona (2-1) at 10:30 p.m. ET on Friday inside McKale Center. The matchup is a sign that college basketball is trending in the right direction, as these two teams would have typically scheduled a tuneup game following recent losses.

Instead, college basketball fans are treated to a high-stakes clash between two hungry schools. Arizona is a slight favorite at home, but will Cooper Flagg and Co. earn a road win?

Flagg remains among the Wooden Award odds favorites.

Duke might have lost to Kentucky in the Champions Classic, but there's an argument the Blue Devils are the most talented team in college basketball. It’s only a matter of time before it all clicks for them.

I’m not saying Duke is necessarily right after its 86-35 shellacking of Wofford, but this is the type of matchup in which the Blue Devils’ should flex their athleticism and talent.

Arizona wants to get into a track meet, as it ranks fourth in adjusted tempo. That’s why the total has climbed six points from the opening number. That bodes well for the Blue Devils, who rank 10th in adjusted offensive efficiency and have scored 86-plus points in three of their four games.

Bart Torvik projects a 78-76 victory for Duke on Friday, so I’ll take the +1.5 at BetMGM before it’s too late. This game will likely close as a pick 'em.

Flagg has collected double-digit rebounds in two of his four contests this season. He recorded 11 rebounds in 32 minutes against Kentucky. I like Flagg’s chances of cashing this prop during an uptempo contest featuring more shots.
