The Gonzaga Bulldogs and San Francisco Dons are fighting for the No. 2 seed in next week’s West Coast Conference Tournament when they meet in Saturday’s regular-season finale. Tipoff is set for 11:00 p.m. ET (ESPN) from Chase Center.

I'm predicting San Francisco to cover the spread in this matchup (+9.5) and am focusing on Graham Ike to go Over 8.5 rebounds.

San Francisco lost its first meeting with Saint Mary’s 71-51, while getting bludgeoned inside for 1.22 points per possession against the Gaels’ post offense and 1.35 points per possession in high-low sets.

Despite being dominated by the size of Saint Mary’s, San Francisco didn’t play a single possession of zone defense. 

But that was a wrinkle the Dons threw at the Gaels in the rematch, and they held them to 0.98 points per possession while making Saint Mary’s one-dimensional. The Gaels still made 62.2% of their shots from inside the arc, but went just 3-for-23 from 3-point range.

Gonzaga out-rebounded the Dons 41-28 in the last meeting between these teams, but I trust San Francisco head coach Chris Gerlufsen to come up with the necessary tweaks to have more success in the rematch.

San Francisco backers will find the best number at FanDuel, which is worth the extra -120 in juice, as the spread is as low as +8.5 at BetMGM and DraftKings.

🔥 Graham Ike Over 8.5 rebounds ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Gonzaga’s Graham Ike is both the team’s leading scorer (17.1 points) and rebounder (7.5 rebounds), while shooting 59.6% from the floor.

In the first meeting between these teams, Bulldogs point guard Ryan Nembhard had 13 assists, his second-highest assist total since the calendar turned to February. 

Nembhard’s ability to consistently get into the lane should benefit Ike, who is a big reason why Gonzaga ranks second in the league in offensive rebounding percentage (34.2%).

Ike has grabbed nine-plus rebounds in three of the last five games, and his 13 rebounds in the last meeting against San Francisco is still his highest total in a game since a win on Jan. 8 against San Diego.
