We've already turned to ChatGPT for its March Madness AI bracket predictions, but we're gathering all of its best bets and picks ahead of the NCAA Tournament first round.

From its March Madness championship prediction to its best first-round upsets, we're taking a look at the best value bets for the NCAA Tournament according to ChatGPT.

🏀 March Madness AI predictions: Who will win the 2025 NCAA Tournament?

Let's start off with a caveat: ChatGPT is a large language model, and these picks are for entertainment only. That said, the AI chatbot is capable of identifying trends that bettors may overlook, which makes it compelling at the very least to see what it picks.

There must be a little bit of human hiding inside that robot's mind because it has the same March Madness prediction as everyone else: ChatGPT predicts Duke will win the NCAA Tournament.

It shouldn't surprise anyone to see ChatGPT pick the Blue Devils, who are the most popular choice among March Madness media expert bracket picks and our very own college basketball experts at Sportsbook Review, too.

It's easy to see why - Duke boasts three of the best players in March Madness in Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Khaman Maluach, while veteran leader Tyrese Proctor is perhaps the most overqualified "role player" in the country. That's why the Blue Devils are dealing among the favorites by the March Madness odds entering the first round.

👠 March Madness AI predictions: Who will be this year's Cinderella pick?

We're all looking to make the best March Madness upset picks before they happen, but it's hard to know which team will etch their name in tournament lore entering the first round.

Our ChatGPT bracket predictions didn't offer many candidates with most potential Cinderella teams losing in the first or second round. That said, it did pick one double-digit seed to advance all the way to the Sweet 16.

🚀 ChatGPT's best bet to reach the Sweet 16: No. 12 UC San Diego

📊 UC San Diego's best odds to reach Sweet 16: +390 via DraftKings

UC San Diego is one of the trendiest picks in the March Madness bracket this year after posting a 30-4 record behind star transfer Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones, who is averaging 19.5 points on 57.6% shooting - both of which rank in the top 30 nationally.

Our college basketball expert Rob Paul also has the Tritons advancing to the Sweet 16 in his March Madness expert bracket, and you can still get juicy odds on the Big West champions to reach the Sweet 16 via DraftKings.

🚨 March Madness AI predictions: What are the best first-round upsets?

Nothing beats nailing one of your March Madness upset predictions, especially when it involves a double-digit seed from a conference nobody has heard of.

It's even better when that team is full of a bunch of former Division-II stars looking to make their name in the greatest tournament in college sports. And ChatGPT is buying the hype on a No. 12 seed that our best sports betting sites aren't showing much respect.

While ChatGPT picked seven double-digit seeds to advance in the first round - including two No. 12 seeds - none have longer odds across our best sportsbooks than Drake to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

That feels like an oversight by bet365 and others, as the Bulldogs have a veteran lineup led by a slew of former D-II transfers and force turnovers at the highest rate in the country (14.6%). That sounds like the perfect upset recipe for one of this year's best March Madness Giant Killers.

4️⃣ March Madness AI predictions: Who will reach the Final Four?

For all of the upsets that have come to define the NCAA Tournament, the final four teams in the 68-team field tend to be mostly the March Madness top seeds.

That said, all four No. 1 seeds have made the Final Four just once in tournament history, and ChatGPT is only picking two - Duke and Auburn - to reach the semifinals this year. And it's backing a dark horse to emerge from the West Region.

Even though Texas ranks seventh in KenPom with the sixth-best offensive efficiency in the country, the Red Raiders were denied a top-two seed and landed in arguably the toughest region in the NCAA Tournament.

None of that is deterring ChatGPT, which picked Grant McCasland's group to win the West Region and reach the Final Four for the first time since a trip to the title game in 2019. And a bet on that happening would turn a $10 wager into a $56 profit at Caesars.
