LA Dodgers the favorite among BetMGM bettors
In recent news, the online sportsbook BetMGM revealed that the Los Angeles Dodgers had already broken records for MLB’s Opening Day on its betting site. According to BetMGM, the Dodgers have the highest handle to date at 37%, with bettors believing them to be the favorites to win the 2025 World Series.
The New York Mets followed this at 9% and the New York Yankees at 7.5%.
“The Dodgers were clearly the best team in 2024, so there’s no surprise we opened up with them as favorites in 2025 – and that was before free agency,” said Halvor Egeland, BetMGM Trading Manager. “They added the top pitching prospect in Roki Sasaki, a two-time Cy Young winner in Blake Snell, the best reliever on the market in Tanner Scott and 2024 All-Star Kirby Yates to shore up their bullpen. Add that to the best lineup in baseball, and you’ve got a lot of excitement around the Dodgers chances to repeat in 2025.”
