Anytime Touchdown Scorer Predictions & Picks for MNF: Buccaneers vs. Chiefs
The NFL's Week 9 wraps up tonight with a Monday Night Football odds showdown listing the Kansas City Chiefs as 9-point home favorites over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Over/Under of 45.5 suggests we'll have at least a few targets with our anytime touchdown scorer predictions for MNF.
Mike Spector's Buccaneers vs. Chiefs prediction expects Kansas City to handle the injury-ravaged Bucs when the game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET at GEHA Field at Arrowfield Field in Kansas City, Mo. (ESPN).
The Chiefs remain the consensus Super Bowl odds favorites while the Buccaneers have dropped two straight games.

Buccaneers anytime touchdown scorer pick: Cade Otton, TE ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Otton is having a career year. The fourth-round pick of the 2022 NFL Draft is just over 100 yards back of last year's 17-game total. His next touchdown will match his total from all of last season.
After receiving 10 targets in each of the last two weeks - and making 17 catches for 181 yards and two scores - he could accomplish those feats tonight.
Otton is the biggest beneficiary of the injuries to Tampa Bay wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. He hadn't recorded more than 52 receiving yards in a game prior to the injuries, and his first touchdown of the season came in Week 6.
The odds haven't properly adjusted for that change in usage, as these +240 odds from FanDuel would return a $24 profit on a winning $10 bet. That's an extra $2.50 vs. the +215 odds from Caesars (which represent a 31.75% implied win probability).
The Chiefs' greatest defensive weakness is the tight end position. They've allowed 9.28 yards per target and an 80.3% catch rate. Otton's caught seven of 10 red-zone targets for all three of his touchdowns this season and will surely continue to be peppered by QB Baker Mayfield.

Chiefs anytime touchdown scorer pick: DeAndre Hopkins, WR ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best odds: +180 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 35.71%
I picked Hopkins in his Kansas City debut last week, but he failed to score while playing a modest 32% of the snaps in a comfortable win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He caught two of three targets for 29 yards with a long of 16. That was his fourth-highest yardage total of the season and matched his third-longest catch.
That initiation to Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes' offense should be enough to prepare him for another very favorable matchup against a porous Bucs defense that surrendered at least 30 points in each of the last four weeks. Tampa Bay has given up eight touchdowns to opposing receivers on the season, as well.
