Will Jayden Daniels be healthy enough to take the field and lead his Washington Commanders against Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears, or will Marcus Mariota have to step in like he did in Week 7?

In one of the most anticipated matchups of the season, the first and second overall picks from the 2024 NFL Draft were set to meet in Week 8 of the NFL season. But with Daniels’ status up in the air, what are the best Bears vs. Commanders player prop bets for this showdown?

Replacing Daniels last week, Mariota looked great, and he managed to get key players, including Terry McLaurin, involved. On the other side, how will Williams fare against one of the best pass defenses he’s faced in weeks?

Be sure to check out our NFL Week 8 predictions for everything you need to know ahead of the weekend.

Bears vs. Commanders touchdown pick

D’Andre Swift anytime touchdown scorer (+125) ⭐⭐⭐

After a miserable start to the season, Swift has scored a touchdown in three consecutive games.

He gets another great matchup in Week 8 after the team's bye, as the Commanders have allowed six rushing touchdowns in seven contests, and they’re allowing 131.6 rushing yards per game.

Without knowing the status of Daniels, it’s impossible to have any real confidence in a Commanders offensive player.

That leaves just the Bears. Though Williams threw four touchdown passes two weeks ago, those account for nearly half of his touchdown passes in his first six games.

Therefore, we'll back Swift rather than try to guess which wide receiver will have a good day.

This prop is available at only two of our best sports betting sites at the moment. Caesars has -108 odds, so the price of +125 at DraftKings is remarkable in comparison.

Best Bears vs. Commanders prop bets

Caleb Williams Under 229.5 passing yards (-118) ⭐⭐⭐

Last season, the Commanders allowed the most passing yards in the league. This season, they have the 12th-ranked pass defense, and they continue to impress every week.

Washington held Andy Dalton to just 93 yards and two interceptions, and for the season, it's allowing just 197.6 passing yards per game.

Williams has excelled against bad defenses this season and struggled against good ones. He’s thrown for at least 226 yards in three games, but each of those performances came against a defense ranked in the bottom 10 in the league.

That said, I still recommend taking every yard you can get.

Therefore, though Under 226.5 for -110 will be tempting at bet365, this could be a shootout if Daniels plays. It’s only three extra yards, but the best play is Under 229.5 at Caesars, even if the price is a bit expensive.

I have some other plays for the rookie in my Caleb Williams player props.

Terry McLaurin Over 49.5 receiving yards (-109) ⭐⭐⭐

McLaurin is the only Commanders offensive player we're confident in whether Daniels plays or not. Last week, he finished with six catches for 98 yards, despite Mariota being under center for the majority of the game. He’s now gone for at least 52 yards in five consecutive games.

The Bears have the seventh-best pass defense in the league, allowing just 180.0 yards per contest. However, they’ve allowed at least one player to go for more than 60 yards in four of their last five games.

The total is set at 49.5 at all the best sports betting apps. The Over and Under have the same price at every sportsbook except for Caesars, at which the Under is favored. We'll take advantage of that and get a better price on the Over.

Best odds: -109 via Caesars | Implied probability: 52.15%
