The 49ers might not have McCaffrey at full go, but they have the perfect combination to combat the high-flying Chiefs: a diverse running game and stifling defense.
The Chiefs may be 4-2 on the season, but they're 2-4 against the spread. Expect the 49ers to keep the game close and challenge for an outright victory.

I believe this number has been elevated somewhat after the acquisition of McCaffrey. But with just two days to prepare for the game, I can't imagine the dual-threat back will get a full workload on Sunday.
The Under has cashed in five of San Fran's six games this season. Niners totals have failed to even eclipse such modest lines as 38.5 and 39.5 points. The 49-point total is the highest of any Niner game to this point of the season.

Rushing props have not yet been posted at most books, which is a shame, because I had hoped to bet the Over on what will surely be modest lines for incumbent 49ers running back Jeff Wilson Jr.
I'll pivot to game props and highlight what the 49ers have been doing in the final quarter of games. San Fran has only allowed 21 total points against in the fourth quarter this season. That includes shutouts of the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Rams, and Falcons in the final quarter.
The Chiefs are an entirely different opponent, but I expect for the game to get tighter and the scoring to become more difficult in the final 15 minutes of Sunday's game.
