The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves in the Big Game once again, as they'll take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 2025. Kickoff from the Caesars Superdome is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET (FOX) on Sunday, Feb. 9.

We take a look at the Chiefs Super Bowl history as Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and Co. look to win an unprecedented third consecutive Lombardi Trophy. Our best Super Bowl betting sites list Kansas City as a 1.5-point favorite with the total set at 49.5 points ahead of Chiefs vs. Eagles.

How many Super Bowls have the Chiefs won?

Kansas City has won four Super Bowls in its 65-year history, including two straight ahead of Super Bowl 59.

The Chiefs will go for a historic three-peat against the Eagles. No team in NFL history has ever captured three Super Bowls in a row, although eight franchises have gone back-to-back. Kansas City is the only one of nine three-peat candidates to even reach the Super Bowl.

The team's current title run began with a 38-35 victory over Philadelphia in Super Bowl 57, and it also defeated the San Francisco 49ers in last year's Super Bowl.

We took a look at Kansas City's opponent with our dive into the Eagles Super Bowl history.

Where do the Chiefs rank in Super Bowl wins?

The Chiefs have won four Super Bowls, which is tied for fifth with the Green Bay Packers and New York Giants. Only four teams - the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers - have more.

If Kansas City wins Super Bowl 59, as our best sports betting sites expect, it'll move into a tie for third with the Cowboys and 49ers, who have five championships. The Patriots and Steelers lead the league with six rings apiece.

Mahomes can join Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the second-winningest quarterback in league history with another Super Bowl win, which would give him four rings as a starter. Unsurprisingly, Tom Brady leads the pack with a whopping seven titles.

How many times have the Chiefs been to the Super Bowl?

The Chiefs have been to the Super Bowl six previous times, and Super Bowl 59 will be their seventh total appearance.

They suffered a 35-10 defeat to Green Bay in the first Super Bowl before capturing their first league championship three years later with a 23-7 win over Minnesota. Kansas City wouldn't return to the Big Game again for another half-century - the second-longest drought between Super Bowl victories in NFL history.

Mahomes has guided the Chiefs to five Super Bowl appearances in the last six seasons, arguably the most dominant stretch in league history. Kansas City holds a 4-2 record in Super Bowls heading into Super Bowl 59.
