Eagles team total touchdowns Over 2.5 (-160) ⭐⭐⭐

The Eagles have averaged 35 points per game in the playoffs, which is on pace to be the franchise’s highest in postseason history.

Philadelphia scored 35 points in the Super Bowl matchup against Kansas City two years ago, and also scored three touchdowns in a 21-17 win over the Chiefs in Week 11 of the 2023 regular season.

My biggest reason for liking this play is the confidence I have in Jalen Hurts against the blitz. 

When facing a blitz, including playoffs, Hurts ranks second in QBR (91), fourth in TD:INT ratio among those with 100 attempts versus a blitz (11:1), and has the third-lowest off-target percentage (13%).

Eagles +0.5 first half spread (-130) ⭐⭐⭐

The Chiefs are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall, and Patrick Mahomes has trailed in the fourth quarter in nine of his 20 career playoff games. 

Kansas City has been accustomed to playing from behind in postseason games under Mahomes. The quarterback has won six playoff games after trailing in the fourth quarter (tied for second-most all-time) and four consecutive in that split (longest streak of all-time).

Meanwhile, the Eagles have led for 85.8% of game time this postseason (the most by any team since 1994). They also have had the first score via a touchdown in five of their last six games and had a point differential of 101 points better than Kansas City this season.

Under 48.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Of the 10 same-game parlays that DraftKings offers in the +200 to +1000 range, this is the only one that offers the Under of 48.5 as one of its legs compared to the Over of 48.5. 

That is likely not a coincidence, as perhaps the sportsbook is tipping its hand in enticing bettors to back the Over.

Either way, Philadelphia’s defense ranks first in the league in several categories, including efficiency, yards per play, passing yards per game, and first downs per game allowed.

Kansas City’s defense also is known to make great adjustments after halftime. Over the last two seasons, the second-half Under in Chiefs games has cashed 73% of the time, the best mark of any team in that span, while cashing the Under by four-plus points per game.
