A lot of team success is tied to the play of the quarterback, but to say that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the heartbeat of his team would be an understatement. The 25-year-old slinger looked unstoppable through the first three games of the season, throwing 11 touchdowns and running in two more – reminding everyone why he won the MVP award in 2019.

In the five games since, he’s thrown five total touchdowns en route to a 3-2 record. One of the largest caveats for Baltimore heading into this week is the sheer volume of injuries to important players. Rookie wideout Rashod Bateman has been battling foot issues all season, and has officially been ruled out until next year. Star tight end Mark Andrews has been dealing with shoulder and knee ailments, missing practice on Friday which isn’t usually a good sign. Neither JK Dobbins nor Gus Edwards look likely to suit up either, meaning Baltimore is also down their two best running backs. The Saints are a favorable opponent, but the Ravens have a lot of self-inflicted barriers to overcome if they hope to win.
