Everything old is new again as Adams will once again line up alongside Rodgers, his former teammate with the Green Bay Packers, for the first time in three seasons.
The two connected for 69 touchdowns in their eight seasons together in Green Bay. Adams has caught 622 passes from his former quarterback for 7,590 yards in his career. I expect this familiarity along with Rodgers’ frustrations with his young receiving corps will have Adams in the mix early and often.
The Jets have generated 13 offensive touchdowns this season with Rodgers throwing for 10 of them. Twice this year, a New York receiver has accounted for the first six-point play of the game.
Pittsburgh has allowed their opponent to find the end zone first in four of their six games. In two of those, a pass catcher was the first to cross the goal line.

Wilson is no stranger to utilizing his tight end to great success having enjoyed a 2017 season in which he connected with Jimmy Graham for a team-high 10 touchdowns.
This week, he will take his first snaps for a Pittsburgh offense that has posted six rushing touchdowns to just five passing scores. However, Justin Fields has crossed the goal line five times for the Steelers on the ground this year. Najee Harris has the only other touchdown on the ground, finding the end zone last week for the first time this season.
Freiermuth leads all Pittsburgh pass catchers with two receiving touchdowns. The fan-favorite tight end is second on the team in targets (26), receptions (22), and yards (194).
Last week, Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox broke the seal and was the first at the position to score a touchdown against the Jets. I expect Freiermuth will follow suit this week.
