The first half O/U of 23.5 points for this game is slightly more than half of the 45.5-point full-game total, but I expect more of the scoring to be done in the second half as Georgia and Notre Dame feel each other out over the first 30 minutes.
Kirby Smart’s teams have held Notre Dame’s offense to fewer than 20 points in each of the last two meetings. Georgia also has four wins against College Football Playoff teams (Clemson, Tennessee, and Texas twice) this season, so the fact that its statistics may be worse than Smart’s teams in the past is more of a reflection of a daunting schedule.
This is a four-star play, as Bulldogs starting quarterback Gunner Stockton has only played 86 snaps this season, so it should take him time to get acclimated and comfortable running the system.
The Bulldogs have often started slow this season, as they entered the SEC Championship with a -0.42 first-quarter scoring differential. This is one of the many reasons we like this play.
Jeremiyah Love Under 67.5 rushing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐
Georgia ranks 36th against the run and allowed a 100-yard rusher four times this season. But I expect Love to be the focal point of the Bulldogs' defense, and I am encouraged by Georgia’s defensive performance in the SEC Championship.
The Bulldogs held the Longhorns to just 1.1 yards per carry, which preceded Texas gashing Clemson for 292 yards rushing, the third-most ever by an SEC team in a playoff game. Notre Dame does not use Love as much as one would think, as he only has more than 14 carries in one game this season.
While Love has gone Over this projected total in four consecutive games and five of the last six, I question if he is 100% healthy. He was limited to just eight carries against Indiana because of a potential knee injury, and seven of his 10 carries went for just 10 yards.
Dominic Lovett anytime touchdown scorer (+300) ⭐⭐

Notre Dame vs. Georgia line movement
The spread has always been within a field goal since it opened, but the favored side has switched. Georgia was originally the 1.5-point favorite, but now the Bulldogs are underdogs by the same margin. The shift is mostly tied to the change at quarterback for Georgia.
Meanwhile, the total started at 44, and it gradually increased to 46 before falling back down a notch to 45.
