Panthers vs. Buccaneers NFL Player Props, Odds: Picks & Predictions
The Carolina Panthers visit the NFC South rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their first game with an interim head coach, and we offer our best Panthers vs. Buccaneers NFL player props for Week 13 based on the best NFL odds at our best sports betting apps.
The Carolina Panthers have begun with their third 1-10 start in franchise history (following 2001 and 2010) and have dismissed head coach Frank Reich after their recent loss. Reich's firing marks the third in-season termination of a Panthers head coach within six years under owner David Tepper. Additionally, the Panthers removed assistant head coach/running backs coach Duce Staley and quarterbacks coach Josh McCown from their coaching staff.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7) have experienced a downturn following a somewhat promising start. They've lost six of their last seven games after a 3-1 start to the season. The Buccaneers have a 2-3 record at home and have secured victory in three consecutive home games against the Panthers, winning four out of the last five matchups.
In addition to our NFL Week 13 predictions and NFL Week 13 player props here are our best Panthers vs. Buccaneers NFL player props for Week 13 (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).
Panthers vs. Buccaneers NFL player props: Week 13
Baker Mayfield Under 0.5 interceptions (-113 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mayfield is coming off his second straight game with multiple turnovers, and he has thrown an interception in three consecutive games and seven of 11 games this season.
However, Carolina has just five interceptions on the season — tied for the second-fewest in the league — and forces turnovers on 5.1% of opponents’ possessions, which ranks 32nd.
Mayfield is battling an ankle injury he suffered on a quarterback sneak last week that forced him to miss a few snaps. So, while he has attempted 37-plus passes in four of the team’s previous six losses, he averaged 30.5 attempts in the last two wins.
Thus, we expect Tampa Bay to attempt more runs than usual given Mayfield’s health and the fact that it should lead for much of the game, which should aid in the quarterback playing mistake-free football.
Caesars offers the best price for Mayfield to have an interception-free game, as the Under is juiced as high as -120 at BetMGM.

Bryce Young Over 195.5 passing yards (-115 via DraftKings, BetMGM) ⭐⭐⭐
Carolina has averaged 11.5 points per game during a four-game losing streak and has been held to 15 or fewer points in five straight games, tying a franchise record.
However, given Young’s poor numbers, we are taking advantage of a buy-low spot and expecting a coaching staff overhaul to do him good.
The Panthers rank dead last in the NFL in yards per play (4.1). In addition, Young’s 32 Total QBR ranks 29th out of 30 qualified quarterbacks (only ahead of Zach Wilson), and his 4.2 yards per dropback are the second-fewest by a rookie quarterback since 2000.
However, Tampa Bay’s secondary has given up explosive plays, allowing the fourth-most passing plays of 20-plus yards (21). And with Carolina trailing for over 88% of its second-half plays this season (per Sharp Football Analysis), we expect another negative game script to force Young to throw often.
We are getting the best value and number for this wager at DraftKings and BetMGM among our best sports betting apps, as Caesars is juiced to -119 and FanDuel has an O/U slightly higher at 198.5 passing yards.

Mike Evans anytime touchdown scorer (+155 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐
After going six consecutive games from 2017 to 2019 without a touchdown catch against Carolina, Evans has torched the Panthers for seven touchdown receptions in the last five meetings.
Evans has established a great rapport with Mayfield in recent weeks, as he has six touchdowns over the previous six games and is coming off his first multi-touchdown performance of the season. He would have had three touchdowns last week if he were not tackled at the 1-yard line on the first possession.
Evans entered last week ranked 16th in red zone targets and second in deep targets among wide receivers, and he was targeted twice in the red zone and two more times just outside the red zone last week.
We are not backing the Over on Evans’ yardage total, given that Carolina’s secondary allows the lowest yards per attempt (5.4) and yards per completion (8.4), per Sharp Football Analysis. However, Evans’ seven red zone targets over the last four weeks are tied for the most among all wide receivers in that span, making him a great value play to torch his division rival again.
Be sure to shop for the best number as our best sports betting sites release their props, but so far DraftKings has the best price, compared to bet365’s slightly lower +150 odds.
