2025 Super Bowl look-ahead matchups and odds
Bills vs. Commanders odds
- When: Sunday, Feb. 9
- Kickoff: 6 p.m. ET
- How to watch: FOX
- Location: Caesars Superdome (New Orleans)
- Spread: Bills -4.5 (-115 via FanDuel)
- Total: 53.5
There will be fireworks if these two teams meet for the Super Bowl. It'd be a clash between two of the league's most tortured historical fanbases. And as the hypothetical total shows, also two of the most explosive offenses, with a pair of stellar signal-callers leading the way.
Our best sports betting sites favor Buffalo to the tune of a 4.5-point spread. NFL MVP odds contender Josh Allen is likely the most significant reason for that difference, as he brings more experience to the table than Jayden Daniels.
Bills vs. Eagles odds
- When: Sunday, Feb. 9
- Kickoff: 6 p.m. ET
- How to watch: FOX
- Location: Caesars Superdome (New Orleans)
- Spread: Bills -1.5 (-110 via FanDuel)
- Total: 48.5
Buffalo showed the world that it's capable of making stops when it matters most, despite trotting out the NFL's 12th-rated rush defense. The Bills held Baltimore's superstar tandem of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry to under 125 combined yards on the ground. The belief is they could limit the impact of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley in a potential Super Bowl too.
Allen and Co. are 1.5-point favorites in a hypothetical matchup with Philadelphia at our best sports betting apps.
Chiefs vs. Eagles odds
- When: Sunday, Feb. 9
- Kickoff: 6 p.m. ET
- How to watch: FOX
- Location: Caesars Superdome (New Orleans)
- Spread: Chiefs -1.5 (-106 via FanDuel)
- Total: 45.5
Both Kansas City and Philadelphia are favorites in their respective conference championships. As such, oddsmakers believe a Super Bowl LVII rematch is on the cards. Patrick Mahomes and Co. outlasted the Eagles 38-35 in February 2023. However, a rematch would feature a 45.5-point total, meaning our best sportsbooks don't expect either offense to score as frequently.
The Chiefs and Eagles boast two of the NFL's top three scoring defenses. The sportsbooks are putting more faith - rather justifiably - in Mahomes to show more consistency though, as Kansas City is a 1.5-point favorite in the hypothetical rematch.
Chiefs vs. Commanders odds
- When: Sunday, Feb. 9
- Kickoff: 6 p.m. ET
- How to watch: FOX
- Location: Caesars Superdome (New Orleans)
- Spread: Chiefs -4.5 (-108 via FanDuel)
- Total: 49.5
This is yet another instance when experience gets the vote of confidence from oddsmakers. Kansas City's easiest hypothetical path to a three-peat would be playing Washington. The Chiefs would open as 4.5-point favorites by our NFL odds.
However, the Commanders likely won't see another two-score spread against them after what they did to Detroit's defense.

How do the NFL playoffs work?
Since 2020, the NFL has featured an expanded playoff field of 14 teams - seven in each conference - eliminating the bye week for the No. 2 seed and extending wild-card weekend to six games spanning from Saturday to Monday.
The No. 1 seed in each conference will still enjoy a bye week in the first round of the playoffs, while the remaining three division winners will host the three wild-card teams with the highest seeds facing the lowest seeds (No. 2 vs. No. 7, No. 3 vs. No. 6, No. 4 vs. No. 5).
The winners of those games will advance to the divisional round, where the highest remaining seeds wiill face the lowest seeds. So the No. 1 seed will face the worst-seeded team - which is always the No. 4 seed or worse - while the remaining two teams will meet in the other divisional round matchup.
The two winners in each conference will then meet in the AFC Championship and NFC Championship, which are both played on Championship Sunday, and the respective conference winners will meet two weeks later in the Super Bowl.
